  • Versatile
I was used to using low magnification optics (3 to 5X magnification) which served me well in the 100–200-yard range. I liked them because they are simple, and you can basically set-um and forget-um. When I wanted to move up to a longer-range scope, I didn't want to spend a lot of money before getting hands on experience. This scope fit the bill nicely. It is very affordable and has some of the same ergonomics of high-end optics, so it is a good scope to learn on. At a cost of $144 it is not going to compare to a $3000 Leupold scope (super light-weight and military grade) or even a $400 Arken scope (compares with scopes that cost 3X as much), but for the price it is a good first high magnification scope to learn on. There are a lot more things you must understand and practice when using higher magnification optics such as accounting for bullet drop, maximum effective range of your bullet caliber, etc. I say this one is well worth the money due to its durability and because it will prepare you for when you're ready to purchase a premium precision scope. ... show more

  • Great scope
This scope is top quality Have purchased three of them and am very happy . very easy to get it zeroed in right out of the box. I do think it is a little pricey though but you get what you pay for. going to but another one. Mike

  • Good budget scope
For the money hard to beat. Good clarity, good in low light. Limited elevation adjustment is the only downside. Used on 22lr, may not be as much of a problem on larger calibers

  • AMAZING early morning brightness and clarity. Field tested, passed with flying colors! FANTASTIC scope!
I've had this one for 2 weeks now and just got it mounted up to my rifle. I had to order more scope mounts because what I had was too low. (I used the UTG high profile mounts which worked out perfect) This last weekend, even though I couldn't mount it, I took it with me for a hog hunt to scan the fields and treeline. Before sun up and under a full moon I could see further and better than ever before with my older scope. (with the old scope I had to use lights to enhance my targets. For this one I may not need the lights) It's now mounted and ready to sight in on my Ruger Gunsite Scout, .308 rifle and I'll take it out to the range to sight it in this weekend. I will further update this, so stay tuned... None of my rifles, bows or other hunting equipment is babied or kept for show n tell. It gets used, abused and dirty on a regular basis. All of my field testing is under hard use and conditions... With the weather being what it is, I still have not made to the range to get the scope perfectly zeroed. I did, however get it lined up with my laser and iron sights before heading out the the ranch. I love the fact that no tools are needed for adjustments like my other scopes. So far here are my findings: It does add quite a bit of bulk to the rifle, after six hours of tracking and hunting the rifle did become fairly heavy. Not a bad thing but just something I noticed. While out in the woods, I had to adjust the scopes focus a few times for the changing distances that I was scanning. I feel I should mount a lever to the rear adjustment for faster and easier adjustments without taking my eye from the scope. (this is me getting used to it) I fired a few rounds off and the scope never moved, since they missed, I have no idea of the accuracy of the scope yet. I have got to get it to a range and sight it in. About a month after purchase, I was able to take it out to sight it in and take it hunting. I'm hunting feral hogs with it and I was able to pic a sow out through the brush with a clean kill at 250 yards. So far have put about 60 7.62 NATO rounds through the rifle (with the new scope) and have only found that the scope bases that I bought tend to loosen with the recoil. Last night I shot my second pig with it with surgical accuracy. ... show more
