  • Great value for an excellent power tool!
Size: 12 inch
Tons of features - laser drilling guide, work light, rack and pinion table height adjustment, tilting table, variable speed lever, all-stop button, digital speed display, quiet, quality materials and construction and gobs of power make this drill press very productive and a blast to use. Setup was simple and intuitive. Power head is quite heavy; best to have helper to attach it to stand. ... show more

  • Bucktools for the win
Size: 10 inch
I can't remember if I bought the low speed grinder or the belt Sander first but ever since I've had them I've wanted more from bucktools. When I saw this drill press after deciding I needed to get one, I knew I had to get Bucktools. It came quick, went together nicely and does everything a drill press needs to. It has a work light and a laser which I usually don't use but this one is surprisingly accurate. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Happy Thus Far.....
Size: 12 inch
Wanted to upgrade my 8" baby drill press to a larger press. Based on a YouTube video I took a chance on this Bucktool 12" press. Packing was good Assembly was easy Mounting to stand was easy Motor is smooth Chuck is nice and smooth Press depth stop is a better design to other drill presses in this class (IMO) Overall finish is very good to me for a budget type drill press Coming from Grizzly, I was always impressed with the quality of their manual. Grizzly provides a very detailed manual that provides specifications, dimensions, footprint, and recommend mounting hardware. The Bucktool manual is not in-depth and only provides the basic info. In fact, I had to post a question here on Amazon just to get the dimensions of the head unit as the manual has no mention of this. This was important for me because I work in a very small shop and space is critical. With that said, thus far I'm really happy with the press. I'm a weekend woodworker so 99% of my drilling will be in wood and based on my tests I have no concerns with the power output. Rated 4 stars! Deducted 1 star due to quality of manual and also Bucktool's Customer Service is not very good. They will respond but are not really helpful. I have no confidence they will be helpful in the event I have a real problem. Hopeful this press is built well and I never have problems. Regards, Verified Buyer ... show more

  • Good Value
Size: 10 inch
Drilling 1/2 holes through 3/8 metal brackets. With a little WD-40 the job was easy. Laser helps locate the holes. Setup manual could be a little more descriptive. Overall a great product for the money.

  • Excellent tool for hobbyists
Size: 10 inch
Setup was easy and everything after putting it together. Tested the different RPM settings and the 2,300 RPM is good for drilling and Forstner bits…definitely need a drill vise for small work. I searched for weeks for a good used drill press and had no luck. I did look at the box stores…worthless pieces of plastic. This drill press is solid, heavy, well put together, and feels like a heavy duty machine even though it is a table to model. The only “cheap” piece in the whole rig is the miter gauge, I will use a decent one I have. Not too impressed with the depth gauge, more of a nut lock that doesn’t stay locked very well so I’ll use painter’s tape. The light is good, the laser is OK but you need to turn off the drill light to see it easily. I hope to get many years out of this piece. ... show more

  • Does the job!
Size: 10 inch
A reasonably priced tool. Instruction are clear, assembly is uncomplicated. drill laser needed minor adjustment. I use the drill press for minor projects I have not tried my Forstner bits on it, but the system can be adjusted to the 200 rpm required. So far, so good.

  • Very good but
Size: 12 inch
I bought this drill to replace a recent RYOBI drill that you cannot get parts for. There are two things that need to be addressed on this buck drill. The three drill shaft lever arms need to be shorten so they are just horizontally above the bottom of the drill chuck so that very large but thin materials can be drilled and the lever arms are not in the way. I fixed this by swapping out the three arms for the ryobi drill press DP103L three arms. Also there should have been a drill depth control. There is a place for it on this drill and I’ll see if the ryobi one fits. It’s too bad that ryobi does not support what they sell but I have had the same problem with their grease gun. ... show more
