Bought this lovely little box to hold a gift card for Christmas. Seemed like a simple enough plan. I had no desire to solve the puzzle so I went straight to the instructions. The pictures indicated how to open the box and nothing seemed too challenging. Three days later I was preparing to burn the still unopened box. Never have I felt so certain an inanimate object was refusing to open out of sheer spite. Is it hard to open? Not at all. Am I incapable of interpreting instructive illustrations? 1000 times yes. My advice, give the box and the instructions to a child and they will open and hand it back to you in 10 seconds. Your blood pressure will thank you. I ordered 6 of these boxes and 5 of them are great. Awesome product. Unfortunately, one of the boxes came broken and was unable to be used. I contacted customer service 3 times over the course of 2 weeks and got nothing in return. Extremely disappointed with the company for not even emailing me back. Quality of this box is good, but the problem is the tolerances between the box and drawer are very tight. I had to use a screw to forcefully pull the little drawer open. (See picture) I suppose I can sand down the sides of the drawer a bit for a smoother sliding fit, and maybe add a sticker over the hole left by the screw with the inscription:- "Message in a box" Yeah.....I like the idea.
