  • Great to have at your desk for a quick break
I enjoy origami and have a book of it on my desk for moments when I need a mental break from the tasks I'm doing. This is an excellent addition to that! It's smaller than origami paper, but the weight of the paper is good-- easy to fold and has a pleasant feel to it, similar to newspaper but much better quality. The print quality is also very good and the photos are cute. I like the progression of the puzzles. At the front of the book, there's light green sheets that are meant to be the easiest, and purple sheets at the back which are the hardest. It feels really well organized. It's a good size for travel but I would be concerned about accidentally folding the pages while it's in a bag or pocket. Probably will need something to protect it while traveling, maybe make a cover of cardstock or find a reasonable sized envelope. I noticed on their website, that there are two more puzzle books after this which are meant to continue and provide more challenge. Definitely intend to buy them when I am done with this one. ... show more

  • Just too much fun!
I really enjoyed Origami and the Origami books and paper I had when I was a child. And I saw this and it was like "oh, fun!" because it's Origami, and it's puzzles. I love puzzles. I've done maybe half of them so far and yes, they do get harder and harder. A tip for easier play: When you first get the paper for the puzzle out, pre fold on all the lines were it's obvious there's going to be a fold of some sort. Even if the fold is going to go the other way, it's still easier if the paper is pre-creased. (I learned that years ago.) As for age...I'm 70. I like this. It'd be great to tuck in a purse for traveling or being at my cousin's house. There is NOTHING to do there except watch TV and I tend to find most of the stuff on TV boring. Well, maybe just the channels she watches. Big problem is that once the pages are out of the book, they're floating loose. What I did was get one of those "zippered" sandwich bags, which is big enough to tuck the whole pad of paper into, plus all of the finished puzzles. Why am I keeping them? I'm planning to unfold, iron them flat, and re-play them at some point. They definitely should be good for more than one attempt. Some of them are quite devious. ... show more

  • This is amazing, and a lot of fun!
I bought it as a "filler" item. I thought it was a gimmick that won't actually work as advertised. Boy was I wrong! This is so much fun! The pictures are cute, and my 8 y.o. like them. The puzzles start easy but get harder. But they are all (so far) really good.

  • Tiny, Overpriced book
It’s extremely overpriced considering the size and quality of paper. Edit: the customer service is fantastic so I gotta add more stars.

  • Delightful stocking stuffer! Adult offspring loved these.
I've always put puzzles in Christmas stockings. Now that the kids are grown, I only do a few token items in a stocking to keep up traditions. Normally, puzzles seem like a waste now, as our kids don't want to haul them home on airplanes in limited luggage space, so they leave them at our house to collect dust. These solved all of that. They were so much fun, our daughters fiddles with them for days while talking, watching movies, and just hanging out. I had divided one pack up between the stockings, without realizing that the colors indicated difficulty level. Another time, I'll just get each recipient their own pack so we don't have some people getting easy puzzles and others really hard ones (that's what I got - couldn't understand at first why one daughter was solving them with lightning speed while I was extremely 'puzzled' - til I looked closer and saw the color difference. We've now been through them all, but will probably get more next year as they were so much fun. Would also be a great travel game for a long car or airplane ride! Disposable (or not - finished puzzles can be tucked into a small space), compact, absorbing, and lots of fun. They'd be a great alternative to video games, brain-numbing scrolling, etc. Off-screen time is great for the brain - these help with that. ... show more

  • Surprise hit this summer
I bought this for a fun distraction for time spent at camp, but it was quite popular with a number of people. This is a good brain teaser / topology learning tool for kids. If your kids are sharp, this will be awesome for them.
