I bought these paint markers for use in obscuring personal and medical information on prescription bottles. I had previously been using black Sharpie markers and was frustrated by the results. The Sharpies didn’t cover well and seemed to dry out, requiring me to swap pens often. These paint markers, although more expensive than Sharpies, work equally well on labels and bottles, completely obscure the data on the first pass, and do not smear. The paint remains in place even after wiping with a wet cloth. I thought that the pictured “instructions” were odd to begin with, but found that doing exactly what the pictures show does prepare the marker for use. After some time, when it seemed like the marker was not delivering the proper coverage, I simply executed the steps in the pictures again and it returned to delivering excellent results. This is paint just like what salvage yards use to mark their aftermarket parts. I bought a black used utility trailer that needed marked in an inconspicuous place against theft. This white marker worked wonderfully!! I also used it on white exterior residential doors that got scuffed. Again, worked great. Then, I replaced black painted bolts while remodeling various things and the replacement bolt heads were shiny metal. I painted them with the black paint pen and they are now just like the previous ones and match perfectly. Again, I highly recommend using both of these for whatever you need covered. ... show more

Needed white paint pen markers for our black outdoor garbage cans. Somewhat disappointed. Not easy to use. Must shake for quite awhile to get ink to come out. Once out, doesn't provide wide spread as hoped. These are very narrow tipped. Thought tip point size would be bigger, more like a felt tip marker size. Also, once used, no idea how long ink will last. Typically after a certain amount of time, ink dries up and can't be used anymore. Only option will be to toss them out at such time. ... show more

I bought these to decorate a pair of canvas shoes and the white soaks in too much so the paint is faded to pink. Works great on non-porous surfaces, just not for cloth and canvas.
