I had a connect a desktop (Dell Optiplex 7010) to my wireless network (wired was not an option). I was looking for something in-expensive and quick and easy. I got what I was looking for. I was able to connect the device to my desktop, it brought up a drive in my computer with the install app. I was able to run the install off of the device and it began working immediately. The device did fluctuate on speed (according to the status of the adapter inside of windows but i can only relate that to the size and interferance around the device), however, the connection was stable. The speeds for the connection were slow (compared to other MORE expensive wireless dongles), but was stable and took care of business. I will warn, it is SMALL and for those with large hands may have a lil trouble pluggin in, but that probably happens with all small USB dongles. ... show more

    • Issues installing, and then not true Wifi 6
Wifi 6 uses 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz to give you really, really fast speeds. 2.4 Ghz is the slower of them but greater distance in range. 5 Ghz is normally faster in speed but need to be closer then 2.4 Ghz to get the signal at a good strength. With that if you can't get 5 Ghz, your getting speeds closer to Wifi 5 and maybe even less. I would say to me since it will work with Wifi 6, is to my belief is why they labeled it this way. Now for software it wasn't a plug and play with maybe pointing to the software. Had to try a few drivers to get it to even work. Once got it to work, found that my built in Wifi 5 card, was getting better speeds. If you need something cheap to get you by, then this would work. Note that this is truly limited for technology specs. ... show more
