Ok ladies, here is an honest review of the Brooks Ghost Max Running & Walking Shoe. First let me give you some insight into me so you get a full picture of why I LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE SHOES. I have Plantar Fasciitis in both heels, bad knees, and a bad back from my time in the Air Force. I have normal feet with normal arches, I have a full time,and a part job. My full time job is a desk job, I am a “chair princess” lol, I sit all day except when I CHOOSE to stand at my computer. :-) My part time job is at Food Lion a grocery store as a front end cashier lead and I stand for 7 to 8 hours without sitting down except for my lunch break Friday thru Sunday. I do an abundance of walking and standing during these three days I also do a lot of pushing and pulling to bring shopping carts inside. Until this weekend I have been wearing a pair of Skechers for the last year at the store and my feet have been hurting soooooo bad. So bad in fact that there have been nights that I have literally shuffled, hobbled really, into the house barely able to move because I was in so much pain. Desperate one day I asked my manager if her feet hurt at the end of the day and she looked at me and said “No”. So I asked her what shoes she was wearing and she said “These are Brooks”. I said Ok I will have to try them! Tonight was the end of the first weekend wearing my new Brooks Ghost Max Running & Walking Shoe and this is how I felt at the end of each night: Friday night a 6 hour shift - my heels were a little sore, but not like normal. Saturday night an 8 hour shift - my feet did NOT HURT, this was very unusual. Sunday night an 8 1/2 hour shift - my feet ABSOLUTELY DID NOT HURT, this was definitely UNEXPECTED!!! I wear a size 8 in all closed toe shoes and these are true to size. I will be honest I was skeptical when my manager told me that her feet don’t hurt, but I swear I believe her now! These shoes are amazing. The shoes came laced skipping the last eyelet. I wore the shoes laced that way Friday night they were a touch uncomfortable across the throat of the shoe. So when I put them on Saturday morning I left the last two eyelets unlaced and that made them fit perfectly. These shoes are even cute. Normally tennis shoes shoes are boxy and ugly to me…. BUT NOT THESE! Ladies, my feet feel great, my knees and my back do not even hurt. I did not even have to put inserts in these shoes which completely surprised me! Look ladies I normally despise tennis shoes/sneakers… I mean it all tennis shoes/sneakers period because they all always hurt my feet……….. BUT THEN……..I PUT ON MY FIRST PAIR OF BROOKS SHOES………. At $149.00 this is the most that I have ever paid for a pair of shoes but I promise you I do not regret it at all! You may not want to pay that much for a pair of shoes but I swear they are worth it. Have you heard the saying “You get what you pay for”? Pay the money I promise you will not regret it either. For me these shoes paid for themselves on the second night, they are worth every single penny I paid for them. I have already told a coworker about how amazing these shoes are and I will be telling all my coworkers about Brooks Shoes! I will be buying another pair for when I’m not working…. my work shoes are black so I would like another pair that are not black. Brooks I would like them in a pretty pink please! ;-) ... show more

    • Incredibly Comfortable

These are definitely the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn! They are sturdy and supportive as well as light and roomy, and they are so cushioned that I feel lighter and have more of a bounce in my step when I'm wearing them. Not to mention that I love the way they look. Great shoes!!!

I scoured the internet for the best walking shoes for my work convention in Vegas where we walk 8+ miles a day! Last year my feet were killing me so I knew I had to invest in something to help this year. I ordered these early in case they need to be broken in. I’ll be wearing for the next couple of weeks before the trip! For activewear, they are versatile & can be dressed up or down. The cushion is so bouncy yet supportive. I feel like they have a platform look which gives a trendy vibe. I normally wear a 10 & ordered a 10W because of reviews. They are perfect and have lots of room for thicker socks but aren’t too big without them. I definitely recommend these shoes. ... show more

Love love love these shoes. Did a bunch of research and heard a lot of great things, finally made the investment and the reviews were right! These shoes are comfortable, stylish and great for walking and working out. Definitely worth the money.

This is my 2nd pair of Brooks. I am not a runner anymore, but loved how light and comfortable the first pair were. This pair is also light and comfy. Much higher and wider sole. Advertised as both walking and running which is perfect for me since I am a walker. I ordered a size larger as I have been doing in running shoes for 40 years bc of my long big toe and narrow foot. But I should have gone a half size smaller. The toe box is much wider than any pair I have ever owned, and seems longer too. The heel is not wider and fits great. Unfortunately I took them for a spin outside before I noticed so couldn't exchange. Doesn't seem to matter for walking but I wouldn't run with them like that. ... show more

I tried on different brands and really like them all. But this Brooks is perfect for me. The extra cushioning feels good and my gait is better with the little extra cushion height. Im a short older woman who walks a lot. For all my travels , walking around towns and parks, Brooks shoes feel great. Im not crazy about the cost of things these days.... but my feet have to be comfortable. ... show more

    • They are extremely comfortable, but lack a little support on the sides

These shoes are really well made. They are super comfortable. My only concern is that they lack a little bit of the support that I need when I run. This can cause injuries in the long run, like plantar fasciitis. I would recommend them, though. I just bought a new pair of insoles to help feel more support in the arch. I buy Ghost, regular fit, because they're the only sneaker I've found that have NO seams over the bunion area of the sneaker. Anyone with bunions knows that shoes with seams across the bunion causes pain and blistering. Ghost are wonderful for wide feet and bunions--I don't even have to buy the "wide" fit and they're wide enough for my duck feet! ... show more
