    • Connection to the network was not smooth

As with their other products the instructions were not easy to understand nor complete. There are two methods to install these and each had different requirements and different resutls. You do not need the app for one method but do for the other. As I had the app for my switches i decided to use that for the bulbs. The first two bulbs were easy to connect using the app, the second two bulbs WOULD NOT CONNECT USING THE APP METHOD. I finally decided to use the NON APP method and they were recognized on my network, in the app, and in Alexa. The two which had to be installed using the app-less method do not respond to Alexa as fast, do not respond in Alexa Routines as fast, in fact you have to wait for at least 15 seconds from the power on for a routine to see them. The two set up in the app work as one would expect so there is a difference. Why only two would connect using the app and the other two required the less responsive connection method is beyond me. In once routine I have all four bulbs being set to white and fully bright and in another I need them to lower the brightness and change the color, I have to put a WAIT command in the routine for the two connected without the app. I would recommend these but be aware the install method will play a roll in the responsiveness. I have no idea how long these will last but as they are LED I would expect them to last years. I would guess a QA problem or some undocumented issue with the hub and the number of devices. The hub came with the switch not the bulb but it had NO DOCUMENTATION so I do not know of its limitations. I could find out but I work a full time job and feel strongly that the manufacturer and or selling agent should provide the information necessary. ... show more

SETUP: Very simple. Just put one bulb in at a time. The NoApp technology means you’ll be able to connect everything by wifi which is really cool and simple, but if you want to be able to access all the features then download the app as well. CONNECTIVITY/RESPONSIVENESS : So far great. I have had no issues with the bulbs disconnecting and they all come on at the same time which is great since I have them in a ceiling fan. They’re extremely responsive to Alexa and to the app. I was actually expecting issues in this area but there haven’t been any. WHITES/COLOR: Has a full range of whites from soft to daylight and does whites perfectly. This bulb does not do pink. It shows up purple. But almost all RGB bulbs fail in an area of color including Phillips Hue. No idea why. FEATURES: So many great features. Timers, delay start, sunrise etc etc. APP: is great and I think worth downloading. I love that I can group my light bulbs together. It’s simple, clean and plays well with Alexa. These are great. Soo. I bought into Phillips hue. Then I realized how ridiculously over priced they were. Now. Granted they were one of the first to the smart bulb game. But they are soo full of corporate greed that they have lost me as a customer. So I’ve been searching for something similar- enter Broadlink. Wow. Talk about a decent price for the performance. These bulb were easy to set up and perform better than my Phillips hues and the colors are brighter. There are some minor quirks with all the bulbs getting in sync to the right color. But truthfully. I don’t care. It’s not often I am using colors. I’m mostly using varying shades of white... and these do it perfect. I highly recommend these bulbs. ... show more

Another wi-fi bulb that claims to be “Siri compatible” or “HomeKit compatible” but isn’t really. Byzantine process required to add to network. NO HOMEKIT CODE AVAILABLE.

These bulbs connect super easily. They easily reconnect to wifi after a power loss. Overall these bulbs are amazing. They get super bright, they of course have a full color spectrum, and they can be dimmed from 1% to 100%
