I didn't really care for matching the color and the chrome filters were cheaper then the white ones at this time. I can say these don't last 4 months, it's more like 3 which is still good. The light indicator turned orange and then red in the same day yesterday after first being installed mid March. You can absolutely taste the difference tho. When first installed, I don't remember grey-black water coming out. When I turned the chrome one on for a few minutes to let it run per instructions, there was grey-black water coming out. It finally cleared out after a few minutes and it looks and tastes fine now. Also a great deal for a 3 pack. I noticed there is an offbrand of these filters being sold for cheaper but honestly, I'll just stick with the official ones. I no longer buy a crazy amount of cases of water which is great because im very weak and chronically ill and carrying a case of water up the stairs puts my heart rate over 180 🥲 These are worth investing into ... show more

    • Amazing results with my well water

First off I live on the side of a small ridge thats mostly all shale and ore, my well is 200' deep and the water is safe to drink as is but has a very strong iron metal taste to it so I was filling jugs at h2o to go filling stations and buying cases of purified bittled water prior to this awesome little tap filter. This filter has completely removed all the metal taste from my water and made it more clear, my ground water run through this filter also seems more refreshing than purified bottled water possibly because theres no chlorine in my well water. Its not a fast output ut takes about 18 seconds to fill a 16oz water bottle and a few minutes to fill a gallon jug but its completely worth it if you have water with a bad taste. 100gallons at a h2o staion is $40 with this I get 100 out of a $15 filter, I will only buy the name brand brita filters cause so far they've proven to work great I dont want to compromise quality buying knock off filters just to save $3. ... show more

I love this filter. I like the lever that switches the filter on and off. It also is easy to remove to replace the filter with a button on the side. I did need to read the instructions so I could do everything. I have this filter in both my homes. Never had a problem in 6 months. I may try Amazon's replacement filters though. ... show more

This dandy little water filter will save me oodles of money from all the bottled water I have purchased over the years. Plus I no longer have to deal with recycling. Yeah, on that. And I like that it's small and doesn't take up a lot of room in the kitchen sink. It taste okay (for plain water) and I feel safe knowing the filter will keep contaminants out of my body. I'm glad I bought it and highly recommend this product for healthier living. UPDATE: 19 Feb 2023 I've been using this Brita close to one month. Now, in the past week, it has dripped water from the regular faucet side when I have the filtered faucet side on. And the water looks cloudy and leaves a frosted residue in bottom of my glass pot. I've cleaned the pot with a solution of white vinegar and water. But I shouldn't have to do that every two weeks. That's nuts. I'm going to try a different washer and see if that clears up the leak problem. If not, I'll need to contact the company and maybe return the product. ... show more

If I could give it zero, I would. Yes it was easy to install and yes it worked (when it worked.) But for the most part, it was awful. It leaked, came off the faucet entirely multiple times, sprayed water everywhere and became unusable. My son turned the faucet on and the entire unit fell off into the sink and myself and my carpenter boyfriend cannot reinstall it. The screw on part of the unit that attaches to the faucet is ceased up entirely. It no longer turns whatsoever. So we cannot reinstall it. I bought this on June 2nd and it’s now August 26th. So it lasted less than 3 months, I didn’t even have time to use the second filter. I hand wash dishes, we do not have a dishwasher, but I did not use the “filtered” water for that. I only ever used the filtered water for ice cubes, drinking water, and to give my cat water. I would estimate the amount of time I used the actual filtered water side is less then 5% of the time I was using my faucet. This thing is made of cheap plastic, installs like cheap plastic, and withstands like cheap plastic…. I would not recommend buying it unless you want to be doused with water at 2am or have your young child rinse a plate and be covered in water. I wanted to replace my fridge brita container (that I absolutely love btw) to save space in the fridge… this was so disappointing I came straight here to write a review which I never do unless a product is that bad. This is THAT bad. Also the return policy on this is 30 days, just long enough for you to realize it’s awful and not be able to get your money back. ... show more

I've had this for 18 months now. And it held up for 16 of those months. Within the last two months we've witnessed the daily deteriorating. First with a small leak to what's now similar to an ongoing water spray prank. There must be an o-ring within the housing that is causing thumb-on-waterhose levels of spray to leak by. The housing itself is plastic and not serviceable. So as a heads up, it may be worth to buy the 3yr warranty. ... show more

I love this so much. It makes the water taste a million times better, the light is very easy to see and keep track of, and its super easy to clean. Has a sort of chemical smell when you first use the new filter, but if you let it run for a few minutes it goes away.
