  • Customer Support is top-notch : )
Style: Complete Color: White
REVISED OCT/31/2022: Undoubtedly, Brita's customer support is top notch. I've just got off the phone with Brita customer support agent lady - the filter replacement indicator stopped working. First and most, she immeddiately apologized, and also immediately, she arranged shipping of a replacement. She did so even when I purchased the product over one year ago (June/2021). Wow :) REVISED DEC/13/2021. I changed to 4 Stars from 1 Star. I've just got off the phone with BRITA customer service agent lady about the issue with the replacement indicator. She arranged shipping of a replacement "immediately." This call was probably the easiest and shortest call ever that I've made to customer service complaining about defective products. I said, the Led Indicator stopped working and that I purchased it from Amazon in this May. The agent simply stated that they would send me a replacement, then asked me my name and address. Despite the said 5-Star customer service experience, I deducted 1 Star because I'm concerned if the LED light of the replacement would not stop working in 5 months. Compared to "CULLIGAN FM-15A Faucet-Mount Advanced Water Filter, 200 Gallon, White" (Purchased in 2021 May for $21.79) BRITA, White, 100 Gallon (Purchased on 2019 Sep, $19.99) beats Culligan in all 3 critical features. My BRITA, however, had a very-short-life-span Filter Replacement Indicator Light. The defects concerns me very much because It's the LED Light which attracted me the most. Should the LED LIght of the replacement fail quickly like my 1st one did, it's a major red flag. GOOD: 1) EASY TO INSTALL. To remove an old filter, you just need to press a gray button on the backside of the filter, and, while pressing the button, lifting up the filter. It works just like a CD Player's Disc Eject Button does. Culligan: It took me a total of 4 long hours for installation plus 0.5-1-hour for replacing a filter every 3.5 months. After the unsuccessful 3.5-hour installation attempt, I almost gave up and thought about returning the Brita. 2) 3 SPRAY OPTIONS – filtered water, unfiltered water, and unfiltered spray. Culligan has only one spray used for both filtered and unfiltered. 3) LED FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR. It's my most favorite feature of Brita's, which Culligan does not have. Thanks to this consumer friendly feature, I was relieved from time-consuming, frustration-causing "guessing" the time to replace a filter, which I did while using Culligan. Even when Culligan's filter capacity is 200 Gallons, twice as much as Brita's, I prefer Brita because of this INDICATOR. I used to have to calculate the date based on the date of the installation of a new filter and the guessed amount of water which I thought I used each day. Once I guessed the date, I conducted the water tasting test, comparing filtered and unfiltered water, sipping them back and forth repeatedly. For I'm not a sommelier, I was never sure, or nearly sure, that one tasted better than another even after I conducted the tasting test 3 different times of the day, morning, midday, and evening. BAD: LED FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR, my favorite feature of Brita's, suddenly went off and never came back on after just 5 months of using it. Since it's within Brita's 1 year warranty period, I expect them to replace it with a new one, which has not happened yet. Per Answers to Questions, The LED INDICATOR is "battery-operated," the battery's life is 6 months, and "you cannot change the battery because it's designed that way." BAD: 2) COSTS 2 TIMES AND MORE AS CULLIGAN: Let's say that Brita would send me a new one, but a question arises - Are they going to send me a new one every 5-6 months for good? I guess, it's unlikely. Then, if Brita would refuse to send me a new one now, I would be left with 3 difficult choices - (1) I would keep using my Brita with no Indicator. Meaning, I will have to go back to the guessing, calculating, and testing routine; (2) I would buy a new Brita, paying the increased price of $22.80 (as of Oct/27/2021); and (3) I would go back to Culligan, paying $25.04 + Tax plus another 4-hour labor of installing the filter and 0.5-1-hour labor of replacing an old filter. ... show more

  • Works well, minor issues though
Style: Complete Color: Chrome
The filter works well and installed easily, but the product that I received had a faulty LED that's meant to track when the filter needs replacement. Not a major issue, but a little inconvenient and lines up with what others have said regarding quality control issues so I'm docking a star for it. For the price though, I'll just keep track of when I installed. ... show more

  • Healthier living with Brita
Style: Complete Color: Chrome
This dandy little water filter will save me oodles of money from all the bottled water I have purchased over the years. Plus I no longer have to deal with recycling. Yeah, on that. And I like that it's small and doesn't take up a lot of room in the kitchen sink. It taste okay (for plain water) and I feel safe knowing the filter will keep contaminants out of my body. I'm glad I bought it and highly recommend this product for healthier living. UPDATE: 19 Feb 2023 I've been using this Brita close to one month. Now, in the past week, it has dripped water from the regular faucet side when I have the filtered faucet side on. And the water looks cloudy and leaves a frosted residue in bottom of my glass pot. I've cleaned the pot with a solution of white vinegar and water. But I shouldn't have to do that every two weeks. That's nuts. I'm going to try a different washer and see if that clears up the leak problem. If not, I'll need to contact the company and maybe return the product. ... show more

  • This did not come with a replacement filter. even though it should have.
Style: Basic Color: White
I like the idea of filtering the drinking water. and it has done a very good job of it. But it should have had a replacement filter and it wasn't included.

  • counter-clockwise to tighten!
Style: Complete Color: Chrome
The media could not be loaded. **UPDATE** so it definitely worked getting that soapy taste off of my dishes, but my biggest problem is how hard the filtered water shoots out. it’s almost like you either get yourself and the entire kitchen around you wet, or risk possibly not getting the dishes fully clean. definitely wish the filtered water came out the way the unfiltered water does! maybe it’s because i am new to this, but i figured the righty-tighty lefty-loosey rules applied when installing this. they did not lol which was why i was having such trouble getting the filter to stay. a few seconds of a youtube video later, i figured out it was a user error on my part. i bought this with the hopes that it would help get rid of the soapy taste my dishes have (especially when i am reheating food at work). i will update this later on how well it works for that, but i thought knowing that installation requires a counter-clockwise motion would be helpful to some, or maybe i am just not experienced enough with these kinds of DIYs! ... show more
