This was my second pair from this brand. I wore the heck out of my first pair which I’ve had for about a year and there’s little wear on them. I figured I was safe. I ordered this pair because I wanted this color for my fall family photos. I did find the little hidden heal but it’s pretty small and didn’t bother me. They are a little on the narrow side but not uncomfortable. And I knew they ran a tad small before ordering so I ordered a size 10 instead of a 9.5 and they were fine. The width of the opening is perfect for my thick legs, even have room to make the buckles bigger. That’s why I liked this brand. However this one is not of the same quality of the other set I had purchased. I wore them once, for about an hour and somehow scuffed the top of the toe. The underneath color is far lighter so very noticeable. Im hoping I can return them. So disappointed. I’ll swap them for the microfiber looking ones instead. ... show more

Absolutely LOVE these boots! I've always been apprehensive about buying shoes online, but I needed boots and I couldn't find any at a store that were big enough for my calves. I have 19 inch calves. These fit exactly how they're supposed to with plenty of room for my calves. They're also super comfortable! They're like wearing moccasins. Very, very cute to. The wide width is fantastic! I’m 17” in the calf and there is plenty of room left. I am usually a 7.5 in shoes, but I purchased and 8 and it’s great. The only thing is the width of the foot. It definitely pinched my pinky toes to the point that I couldn’t wear them after 3 hours. I had to also put in insoles bc they are super flat which made them even tighter. Bought these boots in Jan and there was no refund on any Amazon clothes or accessories after 1 month. Guess when they started falling apart? Right after that month, in month 2. Wasted $61 bucks. This refund policy makes you wonder why it is so short. Maybe they know their products aren't quality products and won't hold up. Going to a brick and mortar store, you will most likely get a longer time for a refund if needed. That's what i plan to do. I wore these just to work (indoors) and there is a 1.5 inch bald spot on both toes. Happened in month 2 right after refund period expired. I noticed other reviews saying the same thing about the toes getting bald spots. My suggestion is not to buy from Brinley Co. if you want quality, something that 's worth the money, and will last. If Amazon or Brinley, offers me an exchange, I won't take it because I'm sure the same thing would happen. But if they offer my money back, that would be the right thing to do. Great wide calf boot. I wear a size 9 and my calves are about 19" in circumference. I was worried at first because getting my heel in was a bit tough the first couple times I put them on. They fit great and get even better after wearing them a couple times. I also bought the Journee Collection xwc boot in tan. While they have different brand names these boots are identical. Journee Collection Women's Regular Sized, Wide-Calf and Extra Wide-Calf Buckle Slouch Low-Wedge Boot (9 Extra Wide Calf, Taupe) If you have wide calves and want some nice boots I highly recommend both. ... show more

I have had these boots for only a year- and living in Texas that means I've only worn them a handful of times. I LOVE the way they fit (it's hard to find boots to fit my calves) but they just fall apart so quickly. I pulled them out about a week ago and wore them for the first time since January and the heel started flapping off of the rest of the shoe. I would expect this from the 20-30 boots, but I paid a bit more this time and have higher - but still reasonable - expectations for this price point. ... show more
