  • Simple Home Gym
Style: Blue
I like the individual parts. Makes a home gym possible and portable. I'm not too crazy about the straps on a door, they move too much and restrict exercises to a door with space on both left and right sides.

  • Works well, no issues after a month of steady use
Style: Black
Been using consistently for a month now, no noticeable defects on anything included. The nice part of these being shorter than other bands and coming with the foot straps is is takes the guess work out of stretching the bands with your stance top get the correct resistance. Also allows for different exercises without the bands shifting under your feet. Main note is for the bench press pad, if you don't pull the excess nylon cover to the outside the bands before you use it the pad will start to bunch up when the nylon begins to contract and grabs hold of it. ... show more

  • Good bang for the buck

This is a pretty good starter set. It took me a little bit to get the hang of it even with the instructions. But after consistently working with it and a little assistance from the hubby, I got more accustomed to it and definitely get some get burns from it. I weigh 184lbs and I use this on a 6panel traditional hollow core interior door and so far so good. It hasn’t shown any signs of damages and seems to be holding up nicely. ... show more

  • A smart design, and a good deal
Style: Blue
This set is a very interesting proposition. In its heart, it's built around what is known as a Pilates bar - in this case, a roughly 42" (including the end eyes) long metal bar, which consists of three parts that screw into each other. This gives the option of assembling the bar with only two of them, to give it a length of 29". The bar is covered by some sort of foam that makes it softer to the touch, and it looks sturdy. However, I would have liked to see some measurements regarding how much strength it can withstand. Just like other similar products, the bar comes with a collection of elastic bands (tubes) with carabiners at both ends. In the case of the version I ordered (blue) it is supposed to come with six bands. They are all the same length and are supposed to be the same strength too (33 lbs), however two of them feel a bit lighter than the rest. The set comes with two handles, two ankle straps, and two variable length foot straps, all of which seem pretty standard quality. So far, the set resembles a lot of well-known products, and you should be able to get a workout together either by reading the instructions, or by consulting YouTube searching for the name of some better-known variations. To be fair, I am starting off with a set of 6 DVDs from the ancient EZ Shaper, which is a very similar concept. Granted, you may be better off combining this bar with some more elastic bands to offer variable resistance, especially if you are thinking more of the cardio variations, or are, like me, on the weaker side. The first interesting addition to the standard set is what the seller calls "bench press pad": this should allow a better feel if you are doing a bench press with this. To be honest, I wasn't impressed. I could still feel the pretty think elastic tubes under my back, so what I did was replace the tubes with an elastic loop band, which I could hardly feel lying on the bench. You can just put the ends of the folded band around the bar, or, if you want a more X3-like configuration, you can attach a couple of triangular links to the eyes of the bar and loop the band through them. What I was impressed with was the addition of two door straps to the set. I love door straps, and these seem to be of decent quality. I liked the fact that they have the little stoppers to better stabilize them. Looking at the instructions, the idea is to use them in three different configurations: either use a single one as you would use it with resistance bands, or use the pair to either attach one band to each strap and then each band to the bar, creating essentially a strap that can hold a bar while giving it two points of balance and therefore stability, or use the loops on the bands to pass the bar through (as shown in the photo), stabilizing the bar against the door frame, and then use the eyes of the bar to attach the bands. I tried both, and I really liked the effect. The only issue I have with this configuration is that getting the bar to go through the loops of the straps can be tricky, and especially for the top position you need to loosen the straps - it might be an issue of you want a quick circuit turnover. Overall, I really like this set. I'd say that the door straps pair is a brilliant addition. I am a little concerned about quality - one of the eyes of my bar is pretty loose out of the box (probably some sort of nut was not tied properly) and the bands don't feel to be exactly the same (not that it is an issue though, in fact having a pair that is a bit lighter than the rest is probably a good thing). The real question is how long the bar will last, but so far it feels solid enough to me. I am happy to be able to pair this bar with my sizeable collection of resistance tubes and bands, and I think, especially for the price, it's a very worthwhile addition to my home gym. ... show more

  • Everything You Need
Style: Blue
This has everything you need to get started out working from home. Initial setup was easy and changing from each exercise (described in the instructions) was quick. There are enough bands to give you enough resistance to make you sweat. Overall, a good set for beginners!

  • Great starter kit
Style: Blue
It’s super easy to set up. Once you understand how to use each piece and get it going it is super easy to use especially with Al the extra straps and stuff they give you. The bar and some of the grips are nice choices to use for different workouts or physical therapy stuff for injuries. The door portion is made of cloth with a ratchet type of synching and it has lots of loops to use for different muscle groups. The only drawback is it starts to loosen with the tightening mechanism. But I needed up tying a knot and now it holds well. ... show more
