Absolutely beautiful, and sturdy. BUT.....they are bar height and not counter height. I even measured but the review pictures looked ok. My fault. They are too tall for my island counter. I like them so well that my husband is cutting them down and putting new rubber caps on to make them the right height. The wood on the seats is finished well. Easy to put together. Love these. I have a bad and standing is hard, but I'm also tall. This is a problem in the kitchen. The counters are too low and chairs aren't tall enough. This stool is perfect for counters. These are very nice quality and I like the look, but they are very tall for counter height stools and not very functional for eating at the kitchen island. They are not tall enough to be bar height, and too tall for counter height, so I would suggest the manufacturer adjust the height to one or the other. ... show more

It is excellent for bar height though. The wood seat on the one I got is excellent quality and quite heavy. These are the copper color version. They look and feel very durable and don't look cheap or flimsy; kind of a nice industrial look.
