Has better support than an ace bandage and has tremendously helped. Would suggest wearing a thin undershirt and putting the brace on over the shirt, as the brace is kind of itchy. This brace is light enough to be comfortable and can quickly be released. I wore it over a T-shirt after the swelling went down on a pulled muscle. It allowed me to move but not to do so quickly. I am small, 5' and 120 lb., and this appears to be adjustable between small to x large.

I bruised my rib and I wasn't prepared for how long it would take to heal. This brace has helped stabilize the area. It holds securely, and it can be worn comfortably for hours at a time. This rib band is very light and stretchy. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer a lot of support for injured ribs. It also does not feel very sturdy, so you might expect a rather limited usage period.
