I used these for the typical Ikea desk riser hack you see all over reddit. I originally purchased the taller ones but I found that this raised the desk slightly out of my comfort zone when sitting in a SecretLabs Titan XL (I am 6ft 4in, so if its out of my comfort zone, that tells you plenty). Maybe if your desk chair is able to go higher than mine it could work, but the shorter risers ended up being perfect. Taking off one star as they do not come with hardware, but I was able to go to home depot and get a 100 pack of wood screws for ~$6. They look very flimsy upon first feeling, but I am confident that they will be able to hold up my table, two monitors, a full tower PC, printer, etc. Similar to how its much harder to crush an aluminum can standing up than on its side, these hold plenty of weight. ... show more

These are great! I needed some inexpensive legs to use on a storage shelf unit I built for my craft studio. After checking around and finding no options other than taller and/or fancier (also much more expensive) legs, I found these and they are ideal for my purpose. They do not come with screws, so keep that in mind for your project. The adjustable plastic part makes it nice if you want to make a couple of legs shorter to accomodate a rug that only goes under some of the legs, but you still want your furniture item to be level. They're strong enough to support a couple of shelves full of heavy-ish craft stuff (paint jars mostly). Super important: choose your seller wisely! I recommend picking a fulfilled by Amazon seller because despite the description clearly stating - Height (adjustable): Max. height 11.5cm (4.53 inch), Mini. height 10cm (3.94 inch) - (as my first set actually was), the 2nd set I ordered after hitting the Buy It Again button was too short: only 2 inches tall. After returning those and getting a 3rd set I yet again received wrong ones (these were too tall... I'm beginning to feel like Goldilocks), and this return to a 3rd party seller is not as simple. Fingers crossed that this 4th order will be just right. I love the 4 legs I have but need 4 more matching ones to support that long shelf so it doesn't sag. The photo I attached shows the correct leg, as described here, on the bottom. The one at the top is what I received. Update: Third time was a charm! I spent hours and hours looking for a perfect monitor stand at my favorite one stop shop Amazon. Of course, I looked for quality and low cost and I found many that I liked but did not want to spend so much money on. Soooooo... I researched online and saw how many smart shoppers created their own. I came across these feet with good and bad reviews (mostly good) and happened to come across reviews of customers that had the same idea. I bought two sets of these feet and found two drawer fronts at Ikea for $5.00 each. My handy and all time perfectionist hubby attached the feet to the two drawer fronts and lo and behold I have two amazing and gorgeous monitor stands. They look like they cost me more than they did. In total, each of my monitor stands cost a whopping $13.00. As for the feet, they are beautiful and good quality. They do extend by unscrewing the bottom part, but I preferred not to so as not to prevent struggling to get both monitor stands to the same height. The stands are stainless steel and perfect for what I need them for. I can't provide a recommendation as to how much weight they hold because my two 32" monitors really don't weigh much but I can say that they at least they hold 20 pounds graciously and I am confident that they would be able to hold much more. ... show more

These legs solved a very specific and very big problem of mine perfectly. I bought an entertainment center for my new apartment, but of course it is designed so the wall with all the cable outlets is right over a vent. So the easy half of that solution was to find a vent deflector. The tougher part was that the feet of the entertainment center only came up about 1 inch and sunk into the carpet pile enough to make them worthless. So I tried several options for legs to make it work. But the entertainment center is Sauder composite-wood, and most of the options out there have one large, long screw on it that does not fit with the depth of the wood, and makes me nervous that they will wiggle and break with any movement. As such, these were perfect! I had to buy my own 1/2inch screws (a total of 16) for less than 3 bucks. The four holes on the corners provide a secure, stable fit that eases my mind about whether they will break or pull out easy. The height is perfect without the adjustors, so I can't speak for their strength, but when fully closed up they clear the 3.5 inch deflector easily. The stainless steel matches my silver/steel accents through the room, as well. They are sturdy, but do not add unnecessary weight to the whole cabinet. Overall, if you're looking for something stable to lift something less than 100lbs off the ground, these definitely do the trick! ... show more

I use these to raise the height of a trunk that I use as a table in my spear room (which serves as an additional sitting room and guest bedroom). It works for the purpose I intended. As these legs and the trunk are magnetized, I just purchased little magnets to provide extra magnetic pull. Unfortunately it is still not enough because the legs fall over if I try to drag the trunk across the floor when I need to move it to let down the futon that the trunk sits in front of. So end up having to pick up the trunk and move it out of the way. Since I use the trunk as sweater cubby, the trunk is a bit heavy. So unfortunately, this solution is not perfect. I will look for stronger magnets in the hopes that this will keep the legs attached and allow the trunk to dragged to a different location. Nevertheless, I recommend these feet for light weight projects but keep in mind these are an economical solution. As such, they are not the most sturdiest and best made product available. For the price I do recommend them. ... show more
