DO NOT BUY the bubble stone KIT * the stones themselves seem to work well, but.... 1. The bubble adjusters they sent are junk ..immediately broke when trying to turn them. 2. It did NOT come with check valves to stop water from backing up into the motor. They are a NECESSITY so I can't fathom why they were not included. Thank God I bought them right away from amazon. The motor would have been ruined because the tubing they sent me keeps coming off of the bubble stones and the pump itself. -Today, I left my house for two hours and came back to 1/3 of my 37 gallon tank emptied onto my floor and leaking into my basement! Thankfully I wasn't gone half the day or more...I would have lost my fish! The tubing had come off of the pump, AGAIN, and was siphoning the water out of my tank! *****The kit is worthless and almost ruined my whole aquarium plus property damage. The first day I installed this my friend stopped by. It was the first thing she said when she walked in the door, "Oooh, bubbles!". So, it is great when it works. I had dreams and fantasies of burying it in the rocks and making a little scene around it, but I ran into one little problem. One, little, annoying the complete and utter **** out of me problem. OK. The tubes... They need like a splicer or something to butt the tube to the nipple of both the bubbler and the air machine. The tube pops out all the time! Like the tubing is too soft? It has turned into another daily chore I don't need. Now every time my friend comes over it's, "What happened to the bubbles?". Just now, I went to check to make sure there were indeed no other things it came with. I found the 3 way that was included which will be great if I decide to add another line. I also liked that the tubing was very long and perfect to use for two lines, cutting wherever you need to. My only, biggest, and most annoying problem is that the tubes keep popping off the nipples. I will need to find another way to attach them that is firmer. ... show more

Nice bubbler for a small to medium size tanks. Larger tanks I’d look for something bigger. Overall no issues.

The boxtech 6 Inch Fish Tank Air Stone is a great air stone. It included everything I needed to set it up. I really like the small bubbles this produces. It really made my tank look good. I am probably going to purchase more of these for my other tanks.

We have a small air pump and hooked it up. In the video I mentioned that there were no instructions, but we ended up finding them on the side of the box. The air stone worked great for the first 2 days but for some reason the control valve got stuck and it quit blowing bubbles. So we removed the control valve and it started working great again. The air pump we have has a control valve on it so it seems to do the job. The bubbles are tiny and plenty. It really looks cool. Besides the control valve all seems to be working great. I've had my 50 gallon tank up and running for 38 years. In all that time I have never used an airstone in it. I wanted to give one a try and this circular airstone fit what I was looking for. My tank has two undergravel filters with power heads, plus a pair of hang on the back external filters, so the water gets well circulated. I also have a glass cover over the tank so I wanted to see what adding some air bubbles to the water would do to the health of the tank and the clarity of the water. I also have always liked the esthetic of having bubbles rising in the tank. This boxtech Air Stones for Fish Tank - 3.2 Inch, comes with everything you will need to make the airstone function, except for the air pump. Luckily I had a couple of those in my parts cabinet. I hooked up the air tubing , with the control valve to allow me to adjust the air flow, and placed the airstone on the gravel in the back of the tank...sort of concealed by some plants. I plugged in the pump and was greeted by the sound and sight of nice fine bubbles rising from the tank bottom. I played around with the control valve to see what effect I liked the best, until settling on the setting I thought looked the best. There was nothing else attached to the output of the pump so the pump I had was a bit of overkill for the single airstone. I'll let it sit for a few days and see how the fish react to the bubbles, but I'm considering adding a second airstone to liven up the tank even more. ... show more

The last bubbler I had in my fish tank finally gave out and I needed to find a new one. There are so many on the market it's hard time decide which is choose! I'm glad I chose this one. It's remarkably easy to use and works great. My fish are even happier now with this new bubbler than they ever were with the old one. I much prefer this shape over the standard "rock" size. it fits better in the bottom of the containers AND seems to produce a more even bubble setup. This is a nice addition to my hydroponics setup and allows me to aerate my nutrient solution with limited issues. Well packaged and seems well constructed. Not much to complain about here.
