At first they barely produce bubbles but after a day the air stone were saturated and produced the bubbles I needed. Used them for four days in my 190 bowfront freshwater aquarium after hurricane Beryl in Houston, TX. They worked well, saved all my fish. Excellent product!! The media could not be loaded. Honestly I was a little nervous due to some of the reviews, but this airstone is a beast. The bubbles are like a fine underwater mist. 100% would recommend. Please note that I do have a powerful air pump, because I have a 120 gallon tank. I am not sure how this would perform with a low flow pump, however with my pump, this airstone is fantastic! The water is so ultra oxygenated from the stone that bubbles form on the plants! Fishsticks gills barely move because breathing is so easy for him. ... show more

    • Works but seems to require a pretty hefty air pump

The airpump I have isnt strong enough to make this work properly. I suspect you need a heavier duty pump to push air out of the surface of this bubbler. Its a rather wide circle of Air stone. Just have a beefy Airpump for this to work properly.
