  • Crazy long life on the battery!!!!
Color: Pink
This arrived on Jan 22 and we have been using it every day since. Today is now Feb 28 and tonight is the first time I have had to charge the collar. 38 days of use and I’m charging for the very first time!!!! Like I said CRAZY LONG LIFE ON THE BATTERY!!!! And the remote??? Well, it still has 2/3 battery life! So, I will wait until the battery actually dies on it too before I recharge it too. I’ll update this review when that happens. I hope the battery life on both of these stay this way for a very long time. On to other stuff… I LOVE that you only have to instal the prongs for the ‘shock’ feature if you need them. The vibration is gentle but still very effective. While my sweet beagle girl is quite stubborn, I’m thankful she is taking correction wonderfully with just the beep and vibration levels. I haven’t even screwed those metal posts in place. We had purchased another well known brand for my daughter’s dog but even with repositioning the collar every couple of hours those metal prongs caused sores. In my opinion, this unit out preformed one of the top national brands for about 10% of what the other brand cost. (And that was 5 years ago so I’m sure that particular brand and model has increased in price) Don’t get me wrong I think the other brand was the right choice for my daughter’s very strong willed Boarder Collie and her setting was higher than most of her breed (don’t worry we had a phenomenal dog trainer walking us through that process). Even though this unit is very easy to use I would still recommend getting a good dog trainer to help if you are learning to use this kind of collar (no matter the brand) for the first time. Would I buy this again? In a heartbeat!!! In fact I already have. I bought a purple one for my daughter’s dog. ... show more

  • Simple and effective!
Color: Purple
Cute, affordable, and effective! Love that I can use the vibrate feature instead of the shock feature most of the time. Battery lasts a long time as well.

  • This unit is a solid choice!
Color: Pink
This unit has exceeded expectations. Works great for backyard use. Haven't had to charge it since the first charge as of yet, beleive it was last charged 3months ago. Your schnauzer was a backyard warrior, she even has a patented hop bark routine when she sees tree rats, or she will adopt the continuous bark that u know the naughbors love... after 3 months once the collor is on she's as quite as a mouse. I honestly don't even check to see if the units on anymore. Randomly she may bark if the collar isn't on, unless it's a tree rat and I just let her have her fun cause she's been a good girl otherwise. Battery life is great, ease of use ✅️, tightened the shock screws only once and no issues since. Great product. ... show more

  • Works well and more streamlined than older yellow model, however, needs a few tweaks for 5 stars
Color: Grey
We were happy to test this updated version of the Bousnic Shock Collar on our 12 pound Bichpoo in many different outdoor environments. We had already been using the earlier model, which has the yellow colored remote and a slightly bulkier collar profile, and have been very happy with the many features included therein, such as, a REALLY long battery life, easy charging capability, the collar receiver device vibrates when it gets powered off, the yellow remote has a nice identifiable color and grippy feel, the yellow remote has a convenient wrist strap to which we have added our own neck strap so it could be used hands-free. On the other hand, the newer model has a sleeker profile than the older one for both the receiver and the remote. The newer receiver has two rubber prongs that seem shorter than the older model, however, if your dog has long fur or a thick neck there are extension prongs that supposedly help. Our dog's neck is small so we didn't need to use the extensions. One downside that we encountered, however, is that unbeknownst to us, the prongs got loose over time (we never had this problem with the older model). We didn't realize that the prongs in the newer model easily unscrew themselves with the constant friction against our dog's fine hair, and, unfortunately, one of them fell off and became lost. We will contact the manufacturer to see how we can get a replacement because without both prongs the device is much less effective. The newer light gray hand held remote is shorter and has a nice look to it, however, we really miss the wrist strap for better security and/or to make it into a hands-free option. This is especially helpful when you have to hold your dog's retractable leash in one hand once you want to go off leash with the e-collar on. Also, a minor downside to the gray color of the newer remote it that it is a little harder to identify and locate when placed on a cluttered counter or tossed in a bag/purse. Overall, the sound and vibrate settings work really well on our dog. Typically all we have to do to get her attention and come back to us immediately is to press the top sound button. We rarely have to resort to the vibrate option. We have never used the shock option because the other two sound and vibrate buttons are effective in getting her to stop in her tracks. One reason we think the Bousnic E-collar has worked so well for us is that we started using it soon after we got her when she was a young puppy. Now at 1 year and 4 months, she responds very well simply to voice command. We still use the e-collar on her when she is off leash at the beach, in the woods, or open fields just for safe measure if she were to go behind a tree or romp off in the distance and we want her to come back within view. One never knows if a squirrel or another distraction may suddenly catch her attention and lead her to go a bit astray. The e-collar gives us a lot of peace of mind when she is off leash. We attribute our positive results to early intervention, consistent use of the well designed Bousnic e-collar (we used older the yellow version) and our dog's intelligence. We would highly recommend the e-collar with a few tweaks: advise owners to check and tighten the rubber screw-in contacts of the collar device frequently and improve the design so they don't unscrew so easily, add a strap to the hand remote, perhaps add a flash of color or bright logo somewhere so it's easier to identify, and restore the vibration shut off feature back into the collar receiver device, and perhaps better weatherproofing. The newer collar device is slightly more sleek and maybe a tiny lighter. This matters especially for smaller dogs such as ours. One last comment is about the buttons on the remote. Since we take our dog to the beach a lot, granules of sand tend to attach to the button panel of the remote. I wonder if there is a way to have a more impervious seal between the buttons and housing of the remote so granules cannot get stuck or even water droplets in case it rains or snows? There is a warning that the remote is not waterproof. Maybe at some point the design can be tweaked to be more weatherproof and less vulnerable to sand and dust particles entering into the button crevices. Thanks for this opportunity to test a really good device. I would highly recommend the Bousnic shock collar with the few reservations I have mentioned. ... show more

  • Life Changing
Color: Grey
I never write reviews, but we purchased this 6 months ago and can honestly say it’s changed our lives. Our puppy was becoming more and more stubborn with training, not listening to commands the first, second or third time. Especially “come” or getting her to stop digging in the yard. It’s even been great when leash training to stop pulling. We only need to use the beeping button, which does the job almost every time. In the beginning, we used the vibration only a handful of times when she was testing her limits with the beeping but now she rarely lets it get to that point. We haven’t used the zap button on her so I cannot speak on that, other than testing it on our own hands to see what I feels like. It was surprisingly similar to those handshake buzzer pranks, which feels ultimately harmless but would definitely be a wake up call if used. We turned down the zap level as low as it goes to prevent addicently pressing the button when the remote is on. It’s gotten to the point where she listens with or without the collar now, and it’s been such a comfort when going on off-leash walks and playing in the yard. So I highly recommend for any owners that might be experiencing training regression and other efforts are working! Also, battery life is phenomenal. Have only had to charge it once when we first got it 6 months ago. Hope this helps! ... show more
