I purchased these collars based on reviews but the price was right and it provides 2 collars which I needed. Training a Great Dane and a boxer mix to have recall. Also want to stop the over excitement of passerby’s. I did NOT install the prongs as they are already on an electric fence. Day 1 was an instant success, my Great Dane would normally get overly excited and somewhat scare walkers but with a simple command and the vibration of the collar I was able to settle her back down quickly. My boxer reacts very quickly to just the beep so I haven’t even had to use the vibration on her and she comes to me instantly once called and beeped. They were even reacting to deer in the woods and causing a ruckus. I beeped the collar from 200ft away and said come and they charged back to the house. I’ve only charged the units once in 3 days so far and have not had to recharge yet even though they wear the collars from 7am to 8pm daily. Can’t recommend this product enough. ... show more

    • Working Just as Expected
The battery life seems pretty good, I've probably actively utilized the collars for 4-5 hrs in the last three days and they are still charged. The vibration intensity seems constant, with the adjustments changing the amount of time it activates. The shock setting adjusts the overall intensity and gives a quick pulse of energy. The package comes with only one charger, which is not advantageous to charging both collars at once. I don't keep the collars on my dogs when not training, so it won't bother me to charge them one at a time. It is possible to pair the transmitter to both collars on the same channel, so training is easier when teaching a command/response with the audible tone. When training to prevent misbehavior, the receiver has a second channel to separate the two collars. Big takeaway here, you have to setup the transmitter and collar pairing for the type of training you are attempting to accomplish prior to starting. The company has a lifetime warranty card in the box, which is pretty awesome. Overall, I think this is a great product and I've seen positive responses from my dogs during training. The below paragraphs are just generic info on my use so far. The Bousnic dog training collars are working well to assist with behavior training! I have a medium and large sized dogs that I enjoy hiking with. Most times, I will hike off-leash on a low traffic trail. Recently, my dogs have taken an interest in chasing wildlife (go figure), and not responding to voice commands. So, I bought these collars to hopefully deter their misbehavior. I am working on two basic commands utilizing the audible tone and the vibration. I'm associating the command "come" with the audible tone, and the command "No" with the vibration. I work on only one command when I train to prevent improper association. So far, the dogs have responded well to the training. The audible tone is loud and gets the dogs' attention. The vibration setting is just the right intensity to deter the dogs from misbehaving without causing any injury/pain. I have not used the shock setting yet, and I hope I won't need to. Since purchasing this product, I have only trained while on-leash, or at an empty dog park. My hope is to allow the dogs to become accustomed to the collars and the appropriate responses, then slowly start introducing distractions to test their response. End goal: to hike again off-leash and prevent the dogs from chasing down wildlife. So far, this product is working, and the dogs are responding positively. ... show more

    • Very good and reliable
I already had the same unit under a different brand. I like that you can unscrew the shock probes and the surface against their skin is flat and does not have bare probes sticking out. The collars do not appear to go into sleep mode but the remote screen will. Screen blank when in sleep mode and have to be awakened by pressing the vibrate or sound once. This does not send a signal to any collar but it will turn on the screen so you can see which dog it's set to. The subsequent press after waking from sleep mode will send a command to whatever dog it is set to. If the remote has not gone to sleep then the first press will send the command. There is a red lite on the remote itself that comes on when command is being sent. Pairing and re-paring was easy. The collar shuts of when you hold power button for 5 seconds. Turning on is just a brief press of the power button. If you hold the button too long it'll go into pairing mode. Backlit screen is a plus. Price was right. ... show more
