Description

Botanicare Silica Blast is a beneficial supplement to be used in conjunction with your standard nutrient program. Silicon aids in strengthening plant tissue to help plants flourish in adverse environmental conditions such as heat, drought, and frost. Botanicare Silica Blast in container gardens or soilless hydrogardening applications. For container gardens, use between 1/2 - 1 teaspoon per gallon of water. Apply at every watering or every other watering. For hydroponics, midsize plants will need 1/2 teaspoon per gallon, while mature plants need 1 teaspoon per gallon. Apply to reservoir every 5-7 days and adjust pH to 6.0.

This stuff is a game changer. If you never used this I highly recommend it. I use it at 2.5 ml/gal early veg and 5ml/gal mid veg to end of week 2 in flower. The stalks on my plants are bulky and very hard to break. The petioles swelled up and when you defoliate you will feel a distinct pop when the leaf is pulled. This stuff is amazing, saved my first hydroponics grow. I had high heat and my plant grew like crazy, too crazy in fact and once bloom time started, the light didn’t phase the flowers even an 1” away from it. They did burn only when the flower touched the bulb. I have to credit this stuff. My previous dirt grow, plant was burning 8” from the light. The heat didn’t even phase any of the plant cycles, 90F through the whole flowering phase, plant just drank extra water, no growth issues. ... show more

I just want to let other gardeners know my experience with silica blast.It does just what it says,makes droopy plant tops stand straight up and makes the branches stronger too,revitalized my plants after a feeding accident burned the leaf tips and made them weak,after serious flushing (outdoor soil),I dried them out 5 days and then gave them a little of this at 1/2 strength in well h2o and the tops are back on track & they are straighter and stronger than they were before the accident,i aparently should have been using this suppliment all along,my plants always grew into short,beautiful bushy plants and while i liked them,i didn't know how to get them to grow a little taller (not too tall),i prefer knowing what each nutrient does,being able to feed my plants what they need exactly when they want it,is my idea of good gardening and a little goes a long way too,cant beat that.Thanks ... show more

Silica is one of the essential elements to the plant. And FYI Silica was been proven that it's one of three ways to increase sugar (TRICHOMES). And you have the stem strengthening and the high tolerance. What I found special about silica blast is that it doesn't contain that much potassium unlike other high end silica products. You can apply it from the start till before the last 2 weeks. And the pictures above are from week 2 and 4 believe it or not. One thing you should always remember, When mixing you're nutrients add silica first, calmag second and then proceed with the base nutrients etc. I never had a problem in this order. And please remember after adding silica Blast or any silica product wait at least for 5 minutes. It will raise the PH gradually. I'm not new to silica i use it on my garden but not the fancy stuff although they have similar results like the stem strengthening and providing high tolerance. I have been a fan of botanicare since the beginning of my journey. so 5ish years!! price was right and consistent. Well i got this deal a qt of silica blast for 7.49 its not necessary but its nice to add if its in budget. Well the flormula changed they took out the better form of silica the silicon dioxide and now is sodium silicate and potassium silicate. And analysis is 0-0-0.5. This is disappointing cuz silica products are getting really good 100% uptake with monosilicic acid. But you pay out ass for these but the work. Instead they went with less effective and not needed again. Ngood deal but not as cheap as food grade fresh water Diatom Earth mixed with my coco ... show more
