First this is a Woofer not a SUB-Woofer, if you know what to expect it works great. this is not a Super deep everyone hears it for 3 miles bass speaker, but that being said the sound is good. if you are throwing less than 400 Watts to it , you will probably like it a lot, if you want more power, I suggest something different.

The media could not be loaded. (UPDATE: I've been happily using this sub for 3 years now. Still going strong! The rest of the review still applies) The sub I got [12 inch 1000w] Is an amazing value for what it is. That's one of the issues though, it's not what it claims to be. This sub is rated at 1000 watts MAX but that's not really that stat you want to focus on. The stat you want to focus on is the RMS power, which is the power that is constantly provided to the subwoofer at all times. This sub is rated at 500 watts RMS on their website, but in reality it can probably only take 150 MAX before you risk breaking the thing. This is a problem because people buy it thinking it's gonna be an actual 500w RMS BEAST of a sub when in reality it's not even close, and they supply it with 500 watts RMS and it ends up blowing up. And for that, I can only give it a 4 star review. But... It's still and incredible value, even though it's not what it claims to be. This sub (when powered at 110 watts RMS) is powerful enough to vibrate my whole car and shake the rear view mirror around like crazy. It won't rattle the mirror OFF of the car or anything like that, but come on, what more do you need? It's the PERFECT sound level. Just quiet enough so the people around your car don't get annoyed by the loudness, while still being loud enough to THUMP the inside of your car. It's great, and it sounds great too! No distortion or anything like that. Just crisp clear sound. That's not even the best part though! The best part, is that you can get a 3 year warrenty, for just 3$! If you're worried about it breaking because of how cheap it is, there's no need to worry! You can pick up this and a boss 1100w amp and get three year warranties on BOTH of them for like $80ish. This thing made me a true believer in cheap audio. I got this sub, a Boss Riot r1100M amp, an amp install kit from Install-Gear and I even built my own box with MDF wood from Lowe's and it all cost me less than $140... If you paid for bigger name brand stuff, $140 would have only gotten you the amp.... If you just want to add a nice bump to your system and don't want to spend much money. THIS IS IT. I am truly impressed. (Listen to the attached video with headphones to really hear the bass. Listening on just your phone speakers or even cheap earbuds won't do it justice)

I just bought a 2004 Corvette (love the body style and flip lights - the last year it had them) and opted for a single sub in the hatch well. I was not looking for a nightclub in my car but something to balance the sound and I was not willing to spend a lot. I selected this sub specifically due to price. I bought the CX122 12' model. After I built a custom 1.2 cu ft sealed enclosure (that was interesting due to all the angles since I wanted it to sit flat in the hatch pointing up at the glass to spread the sound but my CNC made light work of it) and hooked it up I was shocked! This sub for the money sounds amazing. I am pushing about 250 Watts RMS to it and running it crossed at 80HZ and below. The bass is amazing. I may not have been looking for a nightclub in the car but I got it if I want it. Hard hitting, no distortion and crisp. I am not sure how it is this inexpensive but it is. It even has really nice clamp terminals and very good build quality. They are on point with QC as far as I can tell. If you hook this up and it sounds bad I would wager it has to be something you are doing. Make sure you have the recommended enclosure size and use a dampening material such as poly fill. This model wants a sealed enclosure. I have doubt in it handling 1400 watts but in a reasonable system it will add a serious amount of full and crisp punchy bass. I can feel it at both low and high volume. It appears in the car audio world everyone exaggerates the numbers though. Reasonably it would most likely handle 1/3 of 1400 (400 to 500 watts RMS max). Other than the exaggerated wattage (which almost all manufacturers do) it is a great sub. Will it pass the test for a self-proclaimed audiophile? Probably not (but little does), but it will be adequate for 99% of people who are like me in wanting a good sounding system on a budget. And my RTA tests do not disagree with me. It is truly an amazing budget sub. In conclusion this speaker is everything I had hoped and more. I could not be happier. Some more expensive models may sound arguably better (although in those low frequencies most humans are not able to perceive the difference) but for the money this is hands down a great investment. I am adding one to my wife's SUV next!!!

I purchased these subs to add a little Bass to my truck at an affordable price. As usually, too good to be true. I broke them in slowly and kept the wattage down( only a 400 way amp). They were just starting to sound good and then they blew, both within a day or two of each other. As luck would have it, they were installed at a later date (too late to return them) YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
