It make watching TV/movies much more enjoyable, however sometimes we loose the connection from the Sound Bar to the TV and it has to be reset, by unplugging the power and plugging it back in. Otherwise the system works great.     • Great product but why am I unhappy?
The smart sound bar came late. Most likely because it was shipped by USPS and a holiday added a day or two. I tried working with the device with Bluetooth. I could not get it to work. I tried for quite a while and then looked at the box that the device came in. It was shipped from the Returns and Replacements Department of Bose. I then considered that the remote control might have a bad battery - bingo it was almost entirely discharged - but why if this was a new unit? After all I could have ordered a returned unit and save about $150, but I opted for a brand-new unit. I suspect that a reverse logistics played a role in my getting a device that looked new but wasn't. So, I have working unit, and it sounds great, but I suspect that it was not new. If that is true, then I lost $150. If it actually was new, then my apologies. If Amazon or Bose could simply tell me then all is good. And maybe make it right? first of all I had to get on the phone with Bose tech support to get it setup. It took, no lie, 4 hours on the phone and so much patience I never thought I had. Once it was set up the sound was good. Then I put on some music from my phone. Normal volume, soft rock so nothing crazy and the speaker distorts on some songs, randomly. Nothing you would expect from this brand. This sound bar sounds fantastic. Definitely happy with the purchase. There is one thing that disappointed me a bit though… when using an HDMI cable, you can control the volume on the sound bar with the TV remote instead of having to use the included Bose remote. Unfortunately, when trying to take advantage of this feature, there is quite a bit of lag. When trying to turn up the volume, you’ll hit the button once or twice and nothing will happen. Then all of a sudden your volume goes from a quarter of the way up to almost full blast. And it’s just as wacky trying to get the volume turned back down again. I have a Sony Bravia TV that’s only about a year and a half old so I doubt that is the issue and I tried multiple brand new cables to make sure that that wasn’t causing it. I think it’s just the time that it takes the sound bar to respond to the TV input. Like I said, it is a bummer but the sound quality is amazing. I just switched to an optical audio cable and am dealing with having multiple remotes. If I knew of another product that was actually responsive with the regular TV remote, I would probably return this and go that route, but I don’t want to be buying and returning sound bars for the rest of my life. Easy to hook up, simple functionality remote control though it does request you use an app to tweak certain settings. I’m retired and found the process easy to navigate. For a mid priced sound bar it does exactly what it should, it gives clear sound and a little theatrical appeal. Much better than TV speakers on most common brands. If you’re looking to improve the audio of your TV and add a little bit of low end audio this is a really good choice. If you want to rattle the walls and feel completely immersed in sound, may want to consider the add on subwoofer but it’s a good value as is. ... show more

    • Very good soundbar
Received the soundbar yesterday and I am really pleased with it. I have an 85inch tv and the sound is really not good especially the dialogue. After some research I purchased this mainly because of the way it says it puts dialogue forewords. Now I am elderly and It took all of 5 minutes to install it and took longer to d/l the app. The sound is really good and I now don’t have to have the tv on full volume to hear it. The dialogue is so much easier to hear. I did not buy the subwoofer or the other speakers but I don’t think I will. I am watching Wicked and am noticing sound effects that I have not heard before. ... show more
