I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because 1) the wood on the stools is not a true gray in person (it is more of a brown) and 2) the chairs are comfortable enough, but nothing to brag about. But for the price, I was perfectly happy with the comfort level and my purchase as a whole. The main reason I am writing this review is to warn you of what I encountered when I put these together. I bought 5 of them. Four of them came with the hardware you see in the attached photo. If your box comes with this black hardware that is wrapped in plastic as shown, you'll have no trouble putting your stools together. Also, if the box the stool comes in can be opened on the short end, as opposed to opening the box on its long side, you should have no trouble. One of the boxes we received opened longways and had completely different hardware. The hardware was a light gold or brass color and it was not encased as shown in my photo. Instead, it was in a small brown folder made of cardboard completely wrapped in tape. This odd stool looked like the other 4, but was completely impossible to put together. First, this stool (in the odd carton) came with no instructions at all. The hardware made the legs crack when you put it in. We sent it back and Amazon sent us a replacement stool right away. We were so happy to see that the replacement stool was one of the good ones. We now have 5 good stools. We are just relieved that we did not open the odd box first, because we never would have opened the other 4 and would have returned the entire lot. The bottom line, feel comfortable in buying these well-priced stools, but don't put up with the odd stools if you happen to receive one. ... show more

I received these stools and could not be any happier with them! They look great and are quite comfortable. I had purchased the kitchen cart by the same company and these matched very nicely. The assembly took about 30 minutes for each one, the instructions were a bit easier to follow than the cart, however I would recommend checking out some of the other reviews posted especially the gentleman who recommended how to attach the cushion to the swivel, saved a ton of time and frustration so thanks to him for the trick! Really nice, but they rock a little right out the box. Easy to assemble, I watched the entire process, with picture instructions only. Get theses if you want strudy stools that swivel and can be wiped off

Got these chairs in September 2014 and was very satisfied after i had put them together. I am a handy person and have put many different kinds of things together with no problem at all. These chairs lasted about ONE month until they started getting loose, and wobbly. I took it into my own hands to attach small brackets onto the bottom of the seat to help relieve pressure off the glue. Well lets just say about 2 months later both chairs either cracked or snapped. No one above the weight of 200 lbs has sat on either one of these chairs either, so its not like we are testing its limits. These are horribly made and not one but both chairs were in the garbage after 3 months. I emailed the company and had no received a reply. Very upset ... show more

The color and of the style of the chairs are perfect for our kitchen bar. They look great. The allen wrench bolts and nuts to not hold the furniture together. Continually loosen with use and must be retightened. Also, careful, tighten too much and you can punch through the wood (bolts are too long). I am using a lock nut compound next to hopefully help keep the bolts tight. ... show more
