Beautiful Bar Stools, nice and tall, wide seat, very sturdy, as we use daily. Assembly quite easy, took one day, however my husband found the NUTS were stripped out on several pieces. We contacted the Boraam Broadmore Co. and they sent replacement parts immediately. One problem was, they did not check the parts and some of them had same issue, NUTS were stripped out. We've lived here for 8 years and have been using bar height stools that didn't elevate someone to the correct eating height at our 49 inch bar. That bar is to provide separation for an open concept kitchen/living space and it works quite well in that regard, as people cannot see a mess from the living room. Finding a tall enough stool has been nearly impossible, especially with our wanted characteristics of arms, swivel, padded back and seats. When we saw these at the price point, we thought they must be junk... but they are not. They are substantial, solid furniture pieces that add presence to the room. All that being said- they are so tall for me at 5'5", I have to finagle my way up into the chair. My husband has no problem and loves them. He put all 4 together in 1 afternoon. My only caveats are that 1) they should mainly be used as occasional and overflow seating as you are dealing with a mechanical swivel plate that WILL eventually wear down with use. 2) the ideal weight on the chairs should be south of 210 lbs. They are wide enough to accomodate a large person, but a shorter person who is large will not easily be able to get into the extra tall chair. That is worth taking note of depending on who is visiting you or using the chairs most often. Right now, my only "complaint" is that they don't come with genuine leather upholstery, but I could get that done if I so desired. Overall, for what we expected to have to spend on stools of this nature (500-800) vs the price for these, we found an exceptional value. ... show more

Bought 5 of these. Assembly is straightforward and instructions are good. I had 5 to assemble and got good at it after the first one. Well designed and made. Rugged and sturdy, padding is adequate and comfortable for barstools. Nailhead look is very nice. Height was perfect for us, make sure you measure dimensions before you order. Classy rich look and they swivel well and quietly. They are packed well for shipping and boxes took a beating in shipment, but contents were not damaged. Highly recommended! ... show more

These are great, excellent value,comfortable, they are really tall, I ended up cutting a little bit off each leg, better to tall than being to short,we really like them.

    • It's Too Tall!!
It's a nice chair, but so, so very tall! We have to cut at least 11 inches off the legs, unless you are Wilt Chamberlain! We can't find anyone who will do that due to wobbling issue it would cause. I suggest if you're average height, keep looking!

I'm not sure what item I thought I was looking at when I placed this order but when I finished assembling this stool , that's when I realized I needed a step ladder to climb on this stool , I mean this is so high I literally have to jump off this thing. but with the help of my local handyman , I will be cutting the legs down to a normal height from 50 inch to 26 inch and some stain to cover up and this stool should be ready for use. I’m always a little worried when buying an item such as a chair from Amazon. The comfort level is always unknown. These chairs are surprisingly comfortable, easy to assemble and cute! The only complaint I have is that they STINK. Straight up chemical smell. It goes away after about two weeks (or we’re just use to the smell). ... show more
