Whoa. These ARE heavy duty. I needed to raise up a flat of seedlings a few inches to get them closer to their light so put the flat on TOP of one of these humidity domes. Rock solid. Absolutely Amazing!!! 100% worth the cost.

I use the humidity domes more for seed germination. Instead of buying a Burpee self watering 72 cell every spring for $25. I took a couple seasons to build a heavier duty system. 1.) The humidity dome: the material is good grade. It does seem to be manipulatable, but returned to shape after laying flat. The frosted/opaque look is a nice touch. The two top channels are that. You could set light strips on top. 2.) Heavy duty air prune flat: Probably around the same price as the hood. This is the part where Burpee systems usually only last a season. I found some with the open bottom(s) to wick water up a capillary mat. 3.) Bootstrap heavy duty tray: I haven't had an issue using them as water resevoirs with heat pads. I usually don't start over 2 flats at a time. Got the two pack to rotate different uses. ... show more

The domes work, but their fit to the trays is little off. If you put the tray & dome outside the dome may blow off. Use tape or a rock to secure the dome to the tray.

I bought these to use for the seed trays from this seller, and fit them perfectly. The vents on the top are a nice feature, they are sturdier than the disposable ones I find at my local hardware stores, and they are taller as well, which means they can be used until the plants are much taller.

These are high quality domes. I would definitely recommend. They aren't the cheapest option, but the quality reflects that. Also, upon arrival, the box was partially crushed, and one side of the domes were substantially bent. I contacted the seller about an exchange, and after sending them pictures of the damaged box and domes, they sent replacements. ... show more

Like the trays.. these are hands down the best domes in the industry. I really want to think a bit less that I cannot get them in 7inch plus vs just the 5inches..but that is quickly forgiven due to the benefits. Strong, real vents, clear, not flimsy, stay true to form, usable handles... the ONLY complaint I have is the packaging tape that holds the multi packs together... it is hard to peel off in one piece....but.. awesome test..as if it was a traditional flimsy dome... it would be destroyed. ... show more
