This reel is very nice and it feels very sturdy and high quality despite its lack of name-brand-breeding. I ordered the 1000 and expected it to be a little smaller than it turned out to be, but I addd it to one of my favorite lake-fishing rods to allow for a lot more line. The bail on the reel does not click closed very easily with a turn of the handle, so it really is a lake setup for me where I don't have to worry about when that bail is closed (in river fishing, I really need that control.) ... show more

This reel has a nice, satin stainless steel like finish to it with some green accents. Easily S good looking as higher end reels I have tried. It also has a nice, smooth realing action and a solid click feel when opening the bail. The handle is easily adjustable for right or left handed reel, and it also has a switch to lock out reverse reeling.
