The coolest advent calendar I have ever seen and subsequently purchased. Such a fun way to enjoy the 25 days of December up to Christmas with the most incredibly delicious fruit spreads and bonus honey made by Bonne Maman. This is a brand of preserves and lemon curd I have in my pantry for years and years and years because of the delightfully yummy and tasty preserves. My favorite is cherry and then mixed fruit and then…. Well there’s not one that outdoes the other. Made with the freshest quality of ingredients and consistently good. The red and white checked lid sets it off into a class unto its own. Not only do I enjoy the contents, the jars and their distinctive lids become a storage spot for my buttons, straight pins and other craft items along with storing other items around the house. Such a grand bonus after enjoying these tasty spreads and honey. This advent calendar is a great gift for anyone who enjoys tasty food and a most distinctive present because of how it is made. The box opens up like a book with each day scattered around. Fun to find the Day 1 and then Day 2 and on and on that randomly placed within both sides of the opened “book”. Opening the tab for each Day, you discover a new flavor in the cutest little glass jar with the distinctive red and white checked lid. Each jar is fresh and delicious. As mentioned earlier, these smaller jars can be used like I use the larger ones for storing small objects so you can enjoy this gift for yourself or others for years to come. A grand introduction to this brand of fruit spreads for anyone. It’s fun too if you, like myself are hesitant to buy another flavor. I’m hooked on the cherry preserves and buy it over and over again. With this advent calendar I’ve found some new and fun flavors in a smaller version making it more fun to venture out in taste exploration. The advent calendar gives you a opportunity to try something new and then see if it becomes a favorite to later buy at the store in the larger jars. A great great gift for anyone!!!! This definitely will be on my shopping list next year, and all fans of Bonne Maman should consider it as well. Beautiful artwork and packaging, easy to open one at a time, with the most adorable small jars for each day — just like the full size versions. 1oz in each container is perfect for a taste and to share. A good mix of traditional flavors and some really intriguing ones (peach with cocoa nibs for the 24th) as well. Not a single miss among them and no issues at all with quality. ... show more

An advent gift for my husband !! Came beautifully packaged ! Each little jar is enough for a piece of toast ( 2 if spread thinly ) very delicious!!! My husband loves Bon Maman spreads on his toast !     • Expensive, but fantastic
Arrived quickly, well packaged. A couple of the jars had become dislodged but it was easy to shimmy them back into place. It's so fun to open each day and see which flavour is there. All of them are absolutely delicious. This is my second year having this advent calendar and it's a joy each morning. At the end of the holiday you're left with 24 small glass jars and lids. I fill them with m&ms or other treats and give them to the youth at our church. ... show more

I love Bonne Mamam, and was excited to see the advent calendar with all the different little jars for each day. What a great gift this would make, or even just bought for yourself as a special indulgence for you and/or a loved one. And what a fantastic hostess gift this would make, with the holidays coming up. I am writing this review not only to rave about this item, but to give a heads up for those who are living in places like Phoenix, where it is over 100°. When I first read about this online, I went to Amazon and they were already sold out. They have since restocked, and so I took a chance ordering it even with this warmer weather—I am leery about ordering things like jams, when it is over 100°. You could wait for the weather to be cooler, but they might be sold out again… So I took a chance. My delivery was towards the end of the day, so as expected, the box was warm. I also opened up the first day, which was the quince spread, and the jar was slightly warm to the touch. But upon opening, the spread looked fine, and it smelled and tasted absolutely fantastic! So it seem to hold up to the heat just fine. I didn’t think about it at the time that I ordered, but I do believe when you check out you have an option to do a pick up of your order, versus delivery. So that would definitely be an option If you live in a hot city/area. Bonne Maman jams are such a rich, indulgent, delicious treat, that I now find myself wondering how I’m supposed to hold on till December… I might just have to start a new tradition and have a “24 days of September”… And the jars are so cute, and portable… Just take one to work and have toast for lunch, why not? ... show more

    • Buy two! One to give and one to get
I confess, I bought this for the collection of exotic fruit spreads and the little reusable jars. Bonne Maman raspberry jam is my, well, jam, so I am sure to enjoy sampling the unusual flavor combinations. I also gifted my sister with one, and she was so thrilled with it. The calendar itself is made from very sturdy cardboard and you can certainly reuse it. You could wash and refill the little jars with spices or small candies or coffee beans, colored sugars for baking, etc. Of course, children will delight in the kid-size jars as well, but some of the flavors may not be to their liking. That's why I would use up the contents well before the advent and refill the jars with something kids will definitely love. ... show more
