Bondi Sands is my favorite tanner for several years now! I would always buy the Original Very Dark and then the Aero Dark. But it left me feeling sticky, gross, and was more drying. When you use this tanner, it doesn’t look like you’re getting much darker at first, but after an hour or two it forms the most beautiful color. I wore it when I got married and now I wear it all the time. It’s the best and doesn’t give me that gross/dirty feeling on my skin at all like most self tanners do.     • Easy to use, medium color, incredibly natural
Between Bondi Sands and B.Tan products I don't think I'll ever be rocking my completely natural skin. It's too easy to look gloriously golden like I did as a kid who spent too much time in the sun every day. I loved the tan I had in my pre-tan years but as an adult, I cringe at the thought of the skin damage I'd cause by soaking it up now. Bondi's Liquid Gold line is probably my favorite of all their products. It really doubles down on that golden tone so you glow beautifully. It's not an especially dark tanner (though you can double layer it for one) but being so very pale (KVD Light 004 and NARS Siberia kind of pale) that's a bonus for me. I don't want to wake up the next day and have people thinking I'm wearing Brownface. The color this gives me from one application is a lot like I'd expect after a weekend at the beach, but I've always been someone who tans exceptionally well despite my fair skin. So I'd estimate one go of this takes me about 3 shades darker, maybe 4. Development time is true to the 5-6 hours, that's when I saw the most prominent color and it didn't seem to deepen after that. There's little to no DHA smell and the Bondi coconut scent is subtle but pleasant and dissapates relatively quickly unlike with their gradual tanning milk where it tends to linger a while. It dries down fully with no remanining tackiness on the skin within about 10 minutes but you can safely sit down and put on a loose robe or something within a handful of seconds after buffing in the mousse. Huge bonus for me! I do not like standing around almost naked like an idiot waiting for a self tanner to dry. Color is also super even and doesn't cling as badly to dry areas as other mousses have done for me. I always rub a little Aquaphor or one of my thicker face creams on my elbows, knees, and wrists before tanning and nearly always end up with them much darker anyway, but not so with this. My elbows are maybe a bit dark but not terribly so and I put that more on just how rough that area is for me usually. Also impressive is how well it blended out some of the stubborn old tan I had left in a few patches that just would not come off my skin. fI was careful to not put much product in those areas but some overlap still happens. Yet, the deepening was almost negligent in those areas and the rest of the color blends into it so well you can hardly tell unless you're really looking for it. Highly recommend this tanner if you're looking for a medium kind of depth and/or a newer person to tanning. You'll get a very visible result but not a shockingly dramatic one with a very easy-to-use product (no rinsing or showering required here!). Bondi also tends to last pretty well, especially if you use a gradual tanner to help prolong the tan or just aid it in fading nicer. I rarely get icky patchy fading anywhere but my wrists where I have to wash my hands often for work, but those are easily corrected.     • Natural, glowing tan without streaks!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. I have used it on several occasions now - for family photos, vacation, a wedding, to a concert in the summer heat, and even just on a weekend to feel good about myself. Coming from someone who used be able to make even Jergens natural glow moisturizer look streaky on her legs (which is nearly impossible), I can tell you that this foam Bondi Sands is incredibly easy to apply and I have NO STREAKS!! Admittedly, I do use a wonderful cheap Amazon self-tanning mitten to apply it, but even when I apply it to my face with my hand, it's an even tone. Every time I have used this, I get asked if I was on vacation or if I had been tanning. It is a very natural color, not orange. I apply it at night because the smell is VERY strong and not the greatest. I usually do two application in advance of my event and I look perfectly sunkissed by that 3rd day after the two applications. As usual, carefully around hair (like eyebrows) and joints with loose skin (like knees and elbows). I highly recommend this product! ... show more

I'm not sure exactly what's in here, but I applied this at night after my shower, and the next day I broke out in a rash on my chest. A lot of tiny little bumps. Nothing else was on my skin but the product, so I assume I had a reaction to one of the ingredients. I showered with dial antibacterial to get it off as much as I could. The application was easy, and I had a nice little color, but be careful if you have sensitive skin. I patch tested before applying everywhere and had no initial reaction. I would absolutely buy again if I wasn't allergic, I looked nice and glowy. ... show more

I’ve been a user of the BS self tan foam in the white bottle for a while, and I got this one recently, simply because it was cheaper. But it’s definitely better quality! Just like the original self tan foam, it’s very easy to apply and doesn’t leave you streaky or orange. The tan seems to last much longer and I don’t have any orange run-off when I shower 24 hours after application like I would with the other stuff. And it seems to set a little quicker, too. It will leave your knuckles orange if you aren’t careful when applying it to you hands, so watch out for that. It does have the “fake tan” smell but I don’t think it’s super strong and it doesn’t bother me (my husband has commented on it though haha). It has gotten on my sheets when I put it on right before bed, but it doesn’t stain them if washed soon after. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it doesn’t seem to be very moisturizing. In fact, I feel as if it dries my legs out a little. I typically apply at night, and I’ve started to use lotion in the mornings after and it’s seemed to help. This has been my go-to tanning product for years. This will give you a brown/ caramel look without the orange undertone. This tan is quick drying and also easy to apply. I am very very fair skinned and wouldn't use any other.
