The fact that it has a retracting assist as a plus. I do wish that it came with better instructions other than just pictures. It has a foam mat that I can only assume is for your knees. When assembling, use a little dish soap on the handles to make the grips slide on more easily. If you do not do this, they will easily rip. ... show more

This ab roller device is not very sturdy. The lock nuts on the wheels work themselves loose and the internal spring mechanism makes a lot of noise. Let's see how long this device will last...

    • Use it backward for increased challenge
I think overall it works fine. One interesting thing is, if you use it backward, the rebound could actually be used as increased challenge! Not sure why it's not advertised this way though. It's a fun variant.

    • Better than the simple wheel sticks you get anywhere else
I’ve picked up one of these rollers at my local discount store in the past. Now this was a single wheel with handle bars for your hands. We stopped using it because it was difficult to return back once you were extended out. We were no where near the best shape of our lives or athletes at the time and arn’t today as well (thanks covid). With this one, I say it’s a bit too easy to use for sure. You don’t have to worry about being over extended and I’ve gotten even my 68 year old grand parent to use it so I’m definitely sold. That said, grandma does not fully extend herself in a push up mode. She does the easy ones where her knee’s stay grounded to the floor. Even that is a plus in my books because she does have the potential to graduate up to a full push-up mode if she keeps up her routine, and nutrition. There is no off button and the single button is used to do a reset. It does count the number of full extensions to returns (as 1), and also cycles between time and estimated calories burned. I do enjoy using this for the cost, the wider wheel making it easier to stabilize, and simplicity of use. Also has a little lip that’s supposed to be a phone holder. I don’t use that much since it dosn’t take long for me to do 15 rolls. I’ve used it every night so far as a stretch for my back and Yoga as I slow my rolls.
