I fell and hit my forehead on the wooden part of a chair arm. My forehead and face turned a very dark purple that continued to bruise down both of cheeks, my chin, and my neck. A very dear woman, Betty, saw me in the dining room where we live and went to her apartment the first time she saw me bruised like this and returned to gave me a tube of "Arnica" and told me how to use it and that her daughter is a nurse and this is a miracle ; cream for bruises like this! The next day I had an appointment with my Physical Therapist and she told me to be sure to get this "Arnica" too! We live in a n Independent Living facility with a communal dining room. You couldn't ignore how bad I looked and the residence were all keeping their eyes on my face People I never saw nor talked to before or since were commenting on how bad it looked. Some of these residents even suggested I not leave my apartment until this bruising was gone..it looked sooo bad! I started using Arnica when Betty gave me first tube and it really started tp decrease the purple cheeks almost immediately! It took about 3 tubes for it all to dissipate but believe it or not, there is only a little spot on my forehead now which I cover with my bangs.
