  • Works like a dream for Brazilians!
Style: Numb520
I was APPALLED at how very tiny this jar is but it had great reviews so I thought I may as well give it a chance. My heart sunk as I remembered the review that instructed to spread it on "like frosting on a cake." I also thought of all the reviews that suggested two coats. Since I was planning on using it to give myself a Brazilian (sugaring, not waxing), I wasn't taking any chances. I imagined that I would use up most of the tiny bottle, considering that I had already made the attempt twice (without numbing cream) and failed miserably. It even occurred to me that I wouldn't be saving all that much (over salon prices) if I couldn't get it all done on the first try and would need to do the whole thing all over again! It works! It works like a miracle! I spread it on, not thick at all but thick enough to make sure it got to the skin (I did trim first but well, you know). I remembered the reviews that said not to rub it in too much, just leave it on the surface, so I did. I couldn't figure out how to cover it with plastic though so I got a large plastic bag (similar to a garbage bag) and cut out leg holes. I wore that for 20 minutes and went to put on another coat. I was already numb! I couldn't feel a thing but even so, I wanted the 2nd coat, hoping it would reach a deeper level and to make sure I was as numb as possible. Again, I put my plastic bag back on and waited until I washed that off about 15 minutes later and was TOTALLY numb! I'm happy to report that I completed the ENTIRE job and barely used about 1/8 of the bottle! I do have a few strays and a couple of small patches left but that's no fault of the numbing cream, sugaring is hard! I could have easily gotten a new glob of sugar and kept going but I figured that was enough for one day (it's not good to keep going over and over the same area) and I'm not afraid anymore! I wouldn't need to numb the whole area to do the rest anyway, just a few patches; in fact, I likely wouldn't need it at all for the small amount left. I was numb for a good 40 minutes after, when the cooling cream I bought for the occasion started to kick in. Now I'm not saying it was pain-free, it was still painful, but a MILLION times better than my first two attempts! I was originally looking for numbing cream for derma-rolling and I wanted to try it on my face first but once I got my sugaring recipe right, I just couldn't wait to get it done! Sorry to write a book here but I just couldn't be happier! It costs about $80 to have a Brazilian sugaring at the salon and I did my own for less than $5! Sure, I could use a few touch-ups, but I'll be doing that in my own time, by myself, for pennies! I spent about $2.50 for the amount of numbing cream I used, a tiny amount of Finipil Lait 50 (antiseptic cream that cools, soothes, moisturizes, protects against infection, reduces ingrown hairs, and according to some reviewers, slows hair regrowth), a small amount of my sugaring mixture (2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup fake lemon juice, 1/4 cup water- simmered until it turns the color of dark ale), one rubber glove from a pack of 10 pairs from the Dollar Tree, and a large Goodwill bag! I WILL be buying this again! I'll update when I get around to derma-rolling for those of you buying this for that purpose but if your intent is having a Brazilian, do it! UPDATE: I never got around to doing those last few little patches (it wasn't a vanity thing, it was a comfort thing and they didn't bother me) but I've redone the whole thing again today. I wondered if two coats were really necessary, or if the plastic was really necessary, but I didn't want to sit around naked to test it so this time I used a Walmart bag to cover my crotch and put on some big granny-panties to hold it in place under my pajama pants. In some places I was nearly numb after 20 minutes, but in others, not so much. I opted for the 2nd coat and repeated the process. I waited almost 20 mins and was pleasantly numb. Sure, it still hurt like hell, but I was able to get through an ENTIRE self-Brazilian sugaring wax! Since the hairs were shorter and hadn't completely grown in yet (it wasn't as thick), I'm almost bare now! I didn't want to keep going over parts that don't matter much (the upper line that always bleeds) so I still have a few strays there but again, that's because of my sugaring method, not this numbing cream. I will DEFINITELY keep buying this! Now that I've figured out a cheap way to do away with pubic hair, I will NEVER go back to the irritation of dealing with it. See my review for Finipil Lait 50 if you're interested in using that in combination with this. ... show more

  • Essential for shot phobias and even worked with splinter removal with a needle!
Style: Numb520
Without question, this is a must have for anyone (or anyone kids) who have an injection/shot phobias. Made an enormous difference for both of my kids, including the one who would sob hysterically in the middle of Walgreens for 30min begging me to take her home. No more tears now... I should've invested in this company lol. Also, I had a splinter break off in my finger, which was getting infected. I was curious if this stuff would help with that situation... Yep, it was great! Could still feel it a little (it was pretty embedded), but totally tolerable. Highly recommend, worth every penny! ... show more

  • Works
Style: Numb520
(Edit: You will still feel pain if they get you near the hand, on top or inside the wrist. That part is the most sensitive Unfortunately they couldn’t do it where I didnt feel pain at all because I have a vein still healing from it being blown, and I just got blood work Monday morning. However if you get it where it’s mid arm, like around elbow on top you won’t feel a thing! ) I used this to get blood work done, didn’t even feel it go in. I got out of the hospital 3 weeks ago and got blood work everyday sometimes it would burn and honestly I was tired of getting poked and prodded every damn day 😂, anyway I knew I would have to another blood drawn and I put this on today not even 10 minutes my whole arm is numb. This stuff really works. Also anyone who is afraid to get blood drawn it’s just a tiny bit of pain because it’s puncturing the skin, your vein doesn’t have pain receptors. So that’s what you feel, same for getting an iv. Some might say it’s a pinch but it’s really not. But if you’re afraid still use this stuff. Literally didn’t feel a thing. ... show more

  • Works differently on certain areas
Style: Numb520
I read the reviews about this product and most of them said the bottle was small but I didn’t expect it to be 3 inches tall.. I mean it’s filled to the top and spreads out nice? I don’t know if that makes sense, but if you were getting like 2 arm and 1 leg tattoo, I think the single container would be enough. I originally got it for waxing purposes, I put some on top of my lips and on my legs. It numbed the area around my mouth in 5 minutes but it took about 15 minutes for it to numb my leg. Even then I needed a 2nd coat on my legs because it wasn’t numb enough. I don’t know how long you’re supposed to leave it since it doesn’t say in the directions. It’s alright, I just wish the bottle was bigger.. OH and it also lasts about 45 minutes.. so…… do with this info what you will :D ... show more

  • Did it shrink?
Style: Numb520
It is so much smaller than my last purchase. I will look for it somewhere else. This product was significantly more significant, but now it's so tiny with a huge price tag! No thanks.

  • It Works!!!
Style: Numb520
I bought this product to use before getting a tattoo on my wrist. I read other reviews and applied the cream with a rubber glove onto my wrist area and wrapped it in saran wrap one hour prior to getting to my appointment. Even after getting my appointment, the tattoo wasn’t applied for another 45 minutes and let me tell you I felt no pain at all. The numbing cream is excellent. Definitely a good use for tattoos. Would absolutely use it again if I get another one. You will not be disappointed if you buy this product and follow those instructions. It works great. ... show more

  • Works!
Style: Numb520
I am in the process of getting 2 tattoos removed. Since they increase the power each time, each session is more painful than the last. I was a bit worried because getting tattoos lasered off is 1000x more painful than just getting a tattoo. I applied this numbing cream generously 2 hours before my appointment & then covered the areas in cling wrap. After the first hour I applied some extra and then continued keeping it covered. I was BLOWN AWAY at what a difference this made. It wasn't completely painless but that might've been because some parts of the area had less cream than the rest. It even helped with pain management of the healing process-post laser session. ... show more
