Per the instructions this is not a certified life jacket or a lifesaving device. However it works great as a floaty for my boys [ages 1 and 3]. They don't like puddle jumpers, so this is a great alternative. Sturdy material and well made. I got the red one last year and it has held up great. Got another one this year for my younger son. This worked well at keeping my granddaughter buoyant. I wish the crotch strap were a little more comfortable. It is a little wide for a child. It is NOT a life vest and I bought it knowing what that means. I wanted it because I have two grand children and I wanted to give the oldest a little more freedom when we are all in the pool to pratice kicking and arm movements. I like it. It’s very steady and good quality. My boy is 1 year old. The size works for him( he is big). But I think this might work better for toddler who doesn’t need any support from paretns at all. The product itself is very good.

I liked that. They fit both of my great grandbabies, and they weren't uncomfortable for them. Neither one of them have ever been in a pool as big as ours. They both literally jumped into the water. They had such a good time.
