The unit works exactly as I had hoped. Sending the company an email (as explained in the manual) will get you the details on how to disable the red recording LED should you need or want the LED to not be lit (remember in some states you need dual consent to unknowingly record someone).

Worked through support, and yet still was never able to get a Mac to recognize the storage on this device. Without the ability to transfer the video out of the device, it's not useful.

The media could not be loaded. Once you figure it out, which is why my video gets you a quick start lesson, it is easy to learn how to do all the other functions with ease. It DOES have audio! While driving it is hard to understand the noise from talking. In place or walking it works great and is clear. The picture is very good. When plugged into a computer all your videos are instantly available. It charges fast and lasts about 4 hours (I bought the larger memory card). I almost always have it with me. I can take quick video notes when something comes to me and pop it back in my pocket or clip in on something. ... show more

When buying a $30 camera, that's what you're going to get. I got these to use as cheap body cameras for security officers. While they do enough to meet our needs, they are definitely not the best in the world. Stabilization is non existent, so watching video while someone is walking will make you motion sick. The camera does not have a wide angle lens, and even seems as if it is zoomed in a little, so you don't always see everything even if it is directly in front of the camera. Good video and sound. Title of the listing says it comes with 16GB of memory, but it actually comes with 64! That was a pleasant surprise. It's very easy to use, and the instructions that come in the box are easy to understand. I was easily able to see the files on my Windows 11 computer using Windows file explorer, no extra software needed. As for my Google Pixel 7 Pro on Android 13, I did need to download VLC for Android in order to be able to play the videos as they would not play in the default Google Files app, though VLC is the app it tells you to download in the instructions so this is not really a valid complaint. This could be due to the saved file format being .AVI, a dated file format that isn't super efficient, but for 30 bucks, it really doesn't matter much to me. It comes with a surprisingly decent USB A to C cable for charging and data transfer, as well as a SIM card ejector tool for hitting the reset pin on the camera, and a female USB A to male USB C adapter for plugging the camera into phones with USB-C ports. It also comes with a leg/arm strap, which I have not tested as I won't likely be needing it. The night vision surprised me: while it only seems to be good at capturing things directly in the center focus of the camera, it was able to see surprisingly well in the dark for a camera this cheap. Better than some smart phones I've seen. Overall, I'd say this is a great little camera for the price, and I hope it serves well to protect me while I do my delivery driving job. ... show more
