  • Great TIMER
FIRST IMPRESSION: I love this little timer. It takes minimal space in that it doesn't prevent outlet below it from being accessed. (NOTE: If using a DOUBLE GANG outlet, it will obstruct the outlet beside it though). I just received it and plugged it in. VERY Intuitive. I was able to use it without referring to the instructions. (Which is good since instruction sheet is cluttered looking and not as intuitive". Unit works as stated. I unplugged for a few minutes and it kept the same program (I don't know yet if this is time sensitive at some point). It would be very nice it the "MODE" function would actually cycle to "OFF" in addition to "24 hour", "Day mode", or "Night mode" so I wouldn't have to UNPLUG when not needed, and PLUG when needed again. ... show more

  • Does what it has to and doesn’t very nicely
Does what it has to, and doesn’t accurately as long as there’s power going to the unit

  • If you only need it once for a few seconds every 24 hours then the time will drift every day.
I love the simplicity of this timer. I was looking for something to run a solenoid valve once a day for 4 seconds. This will do that. However, the "off" time for a 24 hour period only allows programming down to the minute. So say if you wanted your item to turn on for 10 seconds once a day you can program the "on" time as 00:10 under the minutes/second area. Then when you move to the "off" time (lower numbers) the hours will be set to 23 but then you are only allowed to set minutes, and seconds will always be 00. So effectively since you cannot set the seconds value the closest you can come for an off time is 23:59:00 (H:M:S). So every day you will loose 50 seconds of time (60 seconds minus your run time value of 10 seconds). So if you plug the timer in at noon the first day the next day the "on" feature will go on at 11:59:10 AM for 10 seconds. Then the next day the timer will turn on at 11:58:20 (H:M:S) for ten seconds. The fourth day the "on" time will be at 11:57:30. And so on. So in one month's time the "on" time will be at 11:35 PM instead of noon assuming no power outage. Which brings up the point put forth in another review. You cannot tell this timer an exact time to turn on. It only starts it's action from the time it get power. So if there is a power outage the "on" time will be reset to the time the power is restored. ... show more

  • A Daytime ON Dusk OFF switch is hard to find
I never have any luck trying to understand Chinese Manuals translated into sort-of English! My mind seems to be wired differently. What I wanted was a simple day cycle switch, on at dawn and off at dusk. This is how I made it do what I wanted: First understand how to get back to the default settings: Press the upand down arrows together for more than 3 seconds. Realize that the top set of red counters can go from 24 hrs down to 1 second, and represent the length of time the output is switched on. As you continue to press the set button it steps from hours to minutes to seconds. HH:MM, then MM:SS. The bottom set of red counters have the same range, HH:MM then MM:SS, and are the length of time the output is switched off. Begin in the 24 hr mode by setting up one minute on and one minute off. Do this by pressing the set button until the MM in HH:MM in the top window flashes and use the upor down arrows to put 00:01 in the top red counters. Then press the set button until the MM in HH:MM in the bottom window flashes and use the arrows to put 00:01 in the bottom red counters. After it is set up, step thru the final set button, hook up a light to the output and the light should flash on and off every minute. To set up for Daytime only operation, Press up and down arrows together for more than 3 seconds for the system default, then use set to put 23 hrs in the top HH:MM window red counters. When you see 23:00 in the top window just leave 00:00 in bottom off window and push the set button to exit. Change to the day cycle mode and hook up your dawn on to dusk off equipment. ... show more

  • Working as intended
I needed to control a water mist assembly on my Window AC. Not enough humidity at times. I have 3 misters and this valve cooling the external coils of the window unit so the compressor does not kick off on overheat during the 95+ days like last year. Unfortunately the unit is in direct sunlight and there is nothing I can do about it. The window unit has not shut down on overheat since I installed the mistying system and now I am cycling the water insead of running it all the time. I am runniong a repeat timer cycle of 10 seconds on and 10 minites off. Workign like a charm and I am staying cool!!! ... show more

  • Very nice timer
Easy to use and it works like it should. I opened the package and put to work. It has been working 24/7 ever since I got it.

  • Be prepared to be frustrated with instructions
Once you can decipher how it works by trial and error it seems to work fine. I recommend the manufacturer rewrite the instructions with the user in mind and get rid of the mouse print!!!
