Frame is sturdy, well made and easy to assemble. Looks high end, not cheap. Directions were easy to follow, all holes lined up and hardware was included. I put it together myself. Most importantly its one of the few wood bed frames that didnt have the Proposition 65 warning.

I don't often write reviews, but after deliberating for weeks on which bedframe to buy, and seeing a mix of reviews on this bed, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I LOVE it! Couldn't be more pleasantly surprised. I just moved, so the bedframe was still in it's box for a couple of weeks, stuck behind other boxes. But yesterday, I finally made space to lay it all out and build it. Easy peasy. It's heavy, solid, and came with simple clear instructions. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box and started unpacking the pieces was the color and quality of the wood. Gorgeous!!! The hardware needed was clearly defined, with extra parts provided. All told ~ from opening the package to being ready to lay my mattress down, was only 1 hour! And I really took my time being careful to not make mistakes and not over-tighten anything. But to be sure it was strong and sturdy, and well-balanced. I lightly tighted everything first. And then I did somewhat of a zigzag pattern from corner to corner ~ two rounds of that ~ tightening a little more each time, until everything felt even and just the right amount of tightness (no cranking). The bed is truly beautiful and feels super solid. So glad I finally went with BME. ... show more

This was a great purchase. I had been eyeing a Thuma, and this is exceeding expectations. My son and I built it in 10-15 minutes (mainly cutting it out of the packaging). Its light to move, it looks great, and there are no squeaks or noises as I roll around in bed like other frames we've had. The 4 corners of the frame stick out a bit, and 3 of us in my family have hit a shin on it because our last frame allowed us to hung corners walking around it. That's my only complaint, and it's a "me" issue, not a product issue. ... show more

This product is very well made and super sleek and beautiful. I bought it in a queen size, caramel color on a Black Friday sale for a little under $200. Excellent price for what you get. I put it together in about an hour and a half by myself. It was simple but getting the screws in there and tightened can be a little challenging. The sleek design limits the movement of the allen wrench to tighten but it’s not too much of a problem for something I’m just going to have to do once, or until I move. On a personal note, I wish the slats were a little more recessed so the bed sits in deeper. Beyond that, the Velcro stripping and dowel slotting are great design to prevent squeakiness, unnecessary movement, and boost stability. Overall this bed frame gets a 10/10 from me so far! ... show more

This is a solid, and good-looking bed frame for the price. I haven't experienced any creaking issues with the bed, and assembly was a breeze. A nice added touch is that all the screw-to-wood connections are reinforced with metal that is included with the hardware to build the bed.

Looks great! I bought the “walnut” TWIN size. Appearance and description: I was wanting a finish that would match our other furniture (a medium natural cherry shade), and complement with the Koa (tiger wood) flooring. I took a chance, but in the picture, “Walnut” looked like our cherry furniture. I figured I could take a look at the wood when I received it and return it if I didn’t like the color. I was very happy with the color! It does look just like the picture. Packing and assembly: It was packed very well and with care. All of the pieces were accounted for. It came with instructions, but for us, the assembly was so easy and intuitive, we didn’t need to refer to them. Functionality: It not only looks great, comes in good condition because of careful packaging, and is easy to assemble, but it also functions exactly as it should. My son is 6’3” and slim, but with his height, he is still a substantial sized new adult. It supports his mattress with no creaks or ominous sounds of protest when he sits or lies. He doesn’t jump on his bed, so I don’t know if it could withstand that kind of treatment, but he’s also far too tall to do so without hitting his head on the ceiling, and he has matured beyond that anyway. Speaking of height, it has a very nice clearance for storage, and also is not too low to the floor. Tall people can appreciate that. I looked at many similar styles of bed and this one had one of the best under bed clearance. On the TWIN, there are just 4 sturdy legs and no other ugly supports under the bed to interfere with storage or cleaning. We put a thin sheet of backer board over the slats under our foam mattress. Price: This is obvious. It is a good price. I was thrilled that my top choice was also reasonably priced. ... show more
