Drivers are on a tiny CD, if you don't have CD rom, they give you a link to a 100 mega-byte installation file. File comes as a "RAR" compression file. you can not uncompressed a 'rar' file, unless you have another program, meant to do that. Once installed, the hardware and software work very well. All in all, glad I bought it, does exactly what I needed. My Laptop "built-in blue tooth transmitter" failed and bought this. Using it for blue tooth mouse and transfers to my phone. ... show more

I use this bluetooth adapter for streaming music, excellent sound quality with no dropouts over several hours of listening. When not in use I just leave in the usb port and turn Bluetooth off in Devices. Range is pretty good - in an old house with very thick walls I achieved about 10m before quality started to degrade, so ideal for my application. Having played a number of albums this was it's been great to get rid of the trailing cable from iPad to hifi - and the audio quality hasn't suffered from this bluetooth adapter implementation. I need this Maxesla Bluetooth USB dongle so I can connect a Bluetooth speaker that I had and pair it with my desktop computer. I plugged the dongle into my Windows 10 computer and it installed it right away, no need for and drivers. I paired my Bluetooth speaker easily with no problems.
