Drivers are on a tiny CD, if you don't have CD rom, they give you a link to a 100 mega-byte installation file. File comes as a "RAR" compression file. you can not uncompressed a 'rar' file, unless you have another program, meant to do that. Once installed, the hardware and software work very well. I use this bluetooth adapter for streaming music, excellent sound quality with no dropouts over several hours of listening. When not in use I just leave in the usb port and turn Bluetooth off in Devices. Range is pretty good - in an old house with very thick walls I achieved about 10m before quality started to degrade, so ideal for my application. Having played a number of albums this was it's been great to get rid of the trailing cable from iPad to hifi - and the audio quality hasn't suffered from this bluetooth adapter implementation. I need this Maxesla Bluetooth USB dongle so I can connect a Bluetooth speaker that I had and pair it with my desktop computer. I plugged the dongle into my Windows 10 computer and it installed it right away, no need for and drivers. I paired my Bluetooth speaker easily with no problems. The program went on the computer, a Compaq/HP Windows 7, OK. When I tried to get a Bluetooth item to show up in the window of the program I could not get anything. After I rebooted the computer, it finally started showing my headphones. It is advertised as "Plug and Play" but I did not find that the case. The instructions do not include rebooting the computer. My tablets and cell phone have not shown up in the window yet. It certainly works well with the headphones. ... show more

Installation instructions were somewhat lacking; I had to install; uninstall and re-install, but then it worked perfectly. You can't beat the price and now my "lame" laptop has Bluetooth! I recommend this product!

From the get-go even with the correct drivers and everything, the CSR never worked properly in any of my USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports. When I connected my JBL headphones to the bluetooth on my windows 64 bit PC, it would play fine. But if I ever turned the headphones off and reconnected the headphones, there was never any sound even though the headphones made the connection sound and I would see that it's set as my default device in the playback manager. Then a week later all the drivers go crazy and nothing can be installed. I tried every forum and every version of this product and one of them work. I tried every setting and it's all hot garbage. Now when my headphones pair up with the device, windows doesn't even recognize it. If you're buying for windows 7, skip this. After looking up other competitors I realized no one has a problem with their drivers unless they're using CSR and REALTEK audio. Not even gonna bother returning this. It's going straight in the garbage. I should have spent my money on ASUS the first time around. ... show more
