Being plus size keeps lots of us from trying new things. I really worried about getting a paddle board and needing a life vest. I’m a good swimmer and will mostly be on calmer lakes, creeks, etc so I opted for this waist life vest. When looking at size it mostly references chest size for when inflated. This didn’t help but I took a chance based off another review. I am a size 22 basically and it came today and I immediately tried it on. It fits and I have some wiggle room. I will have to adjust it to fit a bit snugger. I guess what I’m saying is take a chance and don’t let things hold you back. I found a full vest that fits me as well. Love the way it looks, exactly like the photo. It came with a CO cartridge and had easy instructions on how to install. It was easy to adjust the waist band for myself. Much easier wearing this belt when paddle boarding then a full vest.

I had a similar inflatable (from a large marine store), and I couldn't use it because I could not get my head through the opening (I'm grateful that I tested it before I needed to use it).
