We set to install some new 1/2 window length curtains in a room we were mildly remodeling. Didn't want the current trend of round curtain rods, the old style flat rods would be just fine for this little project. Bought the curtains at a Fred Meyer, so we bought the the curtain rods there, too. The Fred Meyer curtain rods can't hold any weight, they twist and bend like wet shaghetti. Seriously doubt they would support a set of sheers. Tried Lowes', Home Depot, etc., all the same. Aargh! Searched Amazon for heavy duty, flat style curtain rods. Came across Kirsch Superduty brand, ordered a set and had memories of the old days when things were made with quality and company pride. If you need a set of strong, well made flat curtain rods that will actually hold the weight of a set of curtains without twisting into a pretzel, Kirsch is the brand you want. ... show more

Only got one bracket for the two poles, poles didn't fit in properly. Plastic screw holders were weak and flimsy. Nails were insufficient replacements, so it kept slipping. This style of curtain rod is so hard to find these days! I already had the brackets in my 1950’s house and didn’t want to remove them and add other brackets. I’m so glad I found them here. Good quality and strong.

When I first received the box I thought it was a mistake. How could two curtain rod be in a box that size? The rods come in three pieces so they can expand to the size you need. Sturdy and easy to install.
