Just received this today. It's for my son for his birthday next week so will update review as used. But just first impression, this is very very nice. I will put in as many pictures as I can until I can do a video. Lots of zipped pockets, seems sturdy, padding for back, multiple non zipped pockets, cup holder, external holder for pliers, detachable cooler on bottom with pockets on each end, 2 sturdy rod holders on side, sunglass etc zipped pocket on top, main part of this has velcro floor to divide into 2 areas or make one big area. As of right now, I want one also! Or might just keep this one for myself. lol. Hope the pictures help! One picture i circled all the zippers so you can tell all the zipped pockets. I might have gone overboard on the pics ... show more

The good - pockets for fishing poles, separate lunch/cool box, but the insulation was thin, the straps thin.enough that I worried about durability with the backpack full, and the zippers did not instill confidence when they could be open by a misstep on the trail. If this is all the money you have, it's better than nothing. But if you want something more suitable, I would spend just a little bit more money, and find a better backpack. The good - lightweight, color easily found, multiple pockets/areas to store items (but not.enough if its an overnight camping trip, but okay for a single day trip). Youd have enough room for two poles, 4 tackle boxes, a very small cooler bag (that will fit a few cans of soda or so), so there are some pros. But in the end, the quality reflects the price ... show more

This tackle pack is a beast with lots of features and storage. If you like to carry lots of 3600 size tackle boxes (like I do), then this is the pack for you. The two main compartments in the upper pack can each hold 4 boxes. The zip-on auxiliary bottom bag (cooler) can hold an additional 3 boxes if you opt to use it for additional tackle storage. The bag sports an extra large side pocket, sunglass pocket, and other various zip pockets. There is a handy harness/loop configuration on the front to hold a rod case, jacket etc. The two rod holder sleeves are robust and well executed, but rely somewhat on having the auxiliary bottom bag installed to provide sufficient height clearance for rod butts. My only reservation on this pack is the design of the removable bottom bag. The bottom bag is not accessible unless you zip it off of the main pack, which is a bit cumbersome. Also, while the bottom bag has some stiffening structure, but not enough to keep it from collapsing under the weight of a heavily loaded top pack when sitting upright. One way to fix this is to store three 3600 boxes of lesser used tackle in the bottom bag, which creates a solid platform. The bottom bag has a sealed liner, and can be used as a cooler, but the lid zipper is not waterproof. I will probably just remove the bottom bag, and only use it when I need to carry extra tackle boxes. That said, I do wish there were rubber feet sewn into the bottom of the top pack. Overall, this is a well made, very roomy and feature rich tackle bag system and I can definitely recommend it. ... show more
