I would say that overall these are a good value. However, be prepared to glue the metal ends of the silicone brushes back to the handle. That's the only downside I could find with them. Other than that they work as described. The large ball ones are great for making eye or socket holes with sculpting. The silicone brushes are great for smoothing and the wire cutter works well. I used mostly with Sculpy or Das and found the tools suitable for both. ... show more

I ordered the tools to go with polymer clay for my granddaughter. The tools come in a kit and each one is very large and looks like they are durible. The tools seem too big to use on the small blocks of clay, but I don't know anything about polymer clay. I'm told it's use for making jewelry and beads, and these tools seem like they should be used for sculpting. Very high quality and they come with a case to keep them in. ... show more

You can use with polymer clay or regular clay, the wood and metal will do great on either. It's exceptionally complete. The only thing I would suggest, if you're new to modeling, is to get a fondant roller. It is a small rod-style rolling pen with spacers on the ends, so you can roll the clay out to a uniform, thin layer. If this kit had one of those, it would be the chef's kiss on this set. I'd still suggest you buy one, since this does not come with a roller. (As an aside, it's nice to see wood tools marketed toward polymer clay artists. I usually see plastic ones.) ... show more

I am amazed at the variety of tools in this package. It’s a fabulous deal. These are useful not only for polymer clay but for any number of tasks in the craft room and in the kitchen. I am using them for modeling sugar flowers and for tidying cake decorations. I will also use the steel tools to manipulate hot glass in my glass studio.
