Indeed they do smell, and even after letting them sit outside for 5+ hours they still had a smell. I sprayed some febreeze but we all know that only really masks the smell. The smell has somewhat subsided but if I put my nose close I can still smell it. But to be fair, it isn't going to stink up your room if that's what you are doing with them. Just be sure to let them air out, for as long as possible. lol. I am using these for some added foliage on a Ghillie suit for Halloween and they worked perfectly. They are durable and not one leaf fell off when attaching them to my suit. ... show more

This vine smells like it was made right next to a meat shop, tossed on a busy street and got pissed on. It smells even with the plastic packaging on and 100x worse by itself. I’ve bought these like a million times! I always find some way to need them again lol but it definitely makes an empty wall look so much better!! The leafs do smell when you first get them but I sprayed them with febreeze and hung them up and have never smelled anything bad since!

I wanted to drape a few strands over the white semi-sheer white embroidered curtains in my bedroom, and these were exactly what I wanted. They did smell somewhat, so, I took them, after opening the package, and just sat them inside a closet to get rid of some of the smell for a day. I only used a couple of strands to drape over my curtains in my bedroom. I'll save the rest of them. They seem strudy enough for what I'm using them for.
