I recently purchased a single Blackout Curtain for my daughter's room. She has two windows, but one of them is located right behind her bed, and she wanted a blackout curtain to block out the sun and keep the cold out. I chose this particular curtain for two reasons. Firstly, it does not require any special tools or drilling holes - you can simply stick the curtains to the window frame or glass. Secondly, my daughter had a 1970s Venetian blind in the window that had become bent, so I thought if I removed the blind and kept the metal head rail, I could attach the shade to it. This way, my daughter could still open the window, and if I ever need to remove it, it would be easier to do so. The blackout shade is made of high-density polyester fiber, and the silver coating on the back effectively blocks sunlight, ultraviolet rays, and reduces heat while keeping the cold out, creating a comfortable sleeping environment. The only downside is that you have to manually roll up the shade with the included roll and use clips to hold it in place. However, since my daughter is using it in the window behind her bed, she will not be opening and closing the shade very often, so it wasn't a big deal. ordered this for my office window. the angle of the sun tends to shine directly into my eyes, so this has helped immensely. It will fit the majority of windows and its easy to roll up to let some light in and comes with clamps to hold it where you want it. Seriously easy to install with strong adhesive. I got this shade for one of my bedroom windows. I have a sunroom that I turned into an office, my bedroom and the office share a window (odd placement I know, I think the sunroom was added on) Anyways, I needed something to create more of a barrier between the rooms. I already have blinds and curtains in the bedroom but you could see into our bedroom from the office and hear the tv. I got this blind to add more privacy and it works very well. I was concerned when I received the package I thought I ordered the wrong size because the box was so small. It was folded up so it worked out perfectly. I no longer see or hear movement through the window. It also came with a handy little fabric tape measure to measure your window. Thank god I found these. I was being woken up with the roosters as soon as the sun would peak over the horizon. Now, I am free of the sun until my alarm goes off and I greet the day on my terms. OH, also, the velcro is tough to pull apart and the adhesive on the back will pull your paint and parts of the drywall off, so be sure to have a second person help you set up so it is level and covering the window. I like this blackout blind. It installs in "5" minutes, with no tools needed. Moreover, I attached it directly to top of window, and adherence is great. Furthermore, coverage in blocking light is exceptional. However, I have found that when in very strong, direct sunlight, unfortunately the substance used to stick the blind to the window will fail. The kit includes a material measuring tape to assist in the proper placement. Of course, these blinds are not meant to convey any type of fashion/decorative statement, they are very basic and simply serve their function completely and are quite utilitarian. The current price point of $13.99, less a 10% coupon, for a net price of roughly $12.50 is extremely good in view of quality of material and the expected longevity of the produce. They are great if not used in areas with extreme sunlight. I recommend purchase of this product if not used in very heavy sunlight. ... show more

The blackout curtains are made cheap, but it sure does keeps the sun out. The adhesive is not good at all you have to use thumbtacks to keep it up.. I like quality , and it’s not made with quality material …
