This frame was a long time coming. My box / mattress has been on the floor for almost 4 years. I'm so happy I finally got a bed frame. Not going to lie even though it 14" in height & me who is 5 ft 6", it's at knee length. I was kind of hesitant on putting it together, but best believe if I did it any other person who is to build things can do it. So I bought this almost two years ago and it hasn’t bowed in the slightest it has held up to my toddler jumping on it and my 220lb husband and my 160lb self the height is good without box springs but for my 5ft 5inch self it’s a tiny bit high off the ground all together 6inch mattress box spring and frame height so if you’re short go with a lower to the ground option if you plan on using a box spring oh and I’m not gonna lie if your mattress is a 6inch memory foam mattress then definitely get a box spring because after a while your memory foam will let you feel the bars of the bed frame ... show more

the frame itself is made to do the task. i find that it is strong enough but it moves when you get on the bed and the mattress slides around on the top of the frame. I am using it on a sunporch so it will not get a lot of daily use so it will work for my purpose.
