I hesitated purchasing this lamp because a reviewer said the hardware was missing. I think he was referring to a "halo," which is used to perch the shade above the bulb; but this lamp doesn't need one. You just place the shade on the socket, then insert the bulb in the socket. Done! The "assembly" must take about 30 seconds. Anyway, the lamp is admittedly on the small size, but it's perfect for a dark corner in my New Mexico home, and it is LOVELY. It works great. I just wasn't expecting the switch to be on the cord instead of the lamp. It's a little inconvenient but it works.

Lamp is much smaller than it appears in photo. Was expecting and wanted a full size lamp for my entry table. Additionally, the on/off switch is on the cord and makes it difficult to keep cord out of site. Appreciate the craftsmanship and quality so kept it but I'm disappointed, especially considering price. ... show more

I was very shocked to see how small this lamp is. Definitely would not do the job of a lamp for an end table. And for the price of the lamp, it should be twice as big.
