I recently purchased these bird spikes and they have worked out well in the places I placed them. There were some gaps so the chickens were still able to perch on to the rabbit hutch. I ordered another set. They were easy to install. There are several spots for screws. One screw was enough per strip to keep them in place. They are made of thick plastic and seem strong and sturdy. They have no stickiness or any type of glue strips. They are all black with upside down cones that are very pointy. I would give it 0 stars if I could. We purchased 30 of these which is a total of 30 feet long. My husband nailed them to the top of our wooden fence. It did not stop the cats from coming over the fence and into our yard. It was a waste of $34. Very disappointed!

I had trouble with Robins making next on top my new porch light. Trying different things, the birds were persistent even though most of their nesting materials slid off the flat metal surface onto my porch. Because of how the fixture was attached, I had to cut a section into single rows of 4 spikes each. I didn't do a pretty job of it. But I couldn't find any other spike products to come in smaller pieces. I bought and attached magnets under each so they would stick to the metal light without leaving a residue for removing. A racoon was climbing my bird feeder post and eating all of my feed. I tried a large baffle, but the racoon easily climbed on top of it and used it as a perch to sit on while licking seeds out of my feeders. To stop this, I covered four sides of the post with these sections of sharp points. The sections were pretty easy to attach. I could use each section as a template to mark and drill holes. The sections were then easy to screw on. I especially liked that the brown color blended in well with the post and the natural setting. However, they don't work. This picture was taken the first evening I had them installed. The next morning, all feeders were on the grown. And there was pieces of racoon fur embedded in the spikes from bottom to top. After 10+ years of trying to keep pigeons away from our jacuzzi, I finally found this product. And yeah, I feel stupid that it took me so long. This product actually works! The dratted flying rats approach the newly defended jacuzzi, then veer away. It's amazing! I purchased these to keep the squirrels from reaching my bird feeders. The would deter some squirrels but I saw a few sitting on top. It was easy to install, great that you can change the size to be smaller.
