So I was having extrusion issues on my printer, and I needed to get a new extruder. This was available next-day shipping so I pulled the trigger and got it in. Install took 15 minutes and I was up and running again the next day. I saw another reviewer talking about the clicking sound on the retractions on the extruder. I did hear that as well, so I pulled it apart and put some grease on the pinion gear, after doing that, the clicking sound subsided. Considering these parts are now running metal on metal, instead of metal on plastic, I plan to pull the head off after 50 prints and apply some more grease to keep it in tip-top shape. I don't expect to have to replace this again for the life of the printer. The prints come out perfect again. ... show more

If you ever have a clog, or you have a filament that does not flow smoothly, this upgrade is perfect for uniform extrusion, as well as smooth operation. These have very mixes review on various FB Bambu groups. I needed new gears ASAP and these were the only option. So far, they are working well. Have I noticed any improvement over OEM, I have no idea. Nothing noticeable between print quality.

Extrusion gears caused binding/clicking leading to inconsistent filament flow. Ended up going to back stock hardware. They look nice, but don’t function well as a replacement. Best to stay with OEM.
