I had a baby about 4 years ago. Stretchmarks were never really an aesthetic concern of mine especially because they're genetic in my family. My skin is thinning with age. I easily get blood blisters and scratches from bumping into things, gently scraping my arm etc. when people ask me what happened to my arm, I tell them a Kleenex fell on me. My grandson has a crazy cat who is definitely a scratcher. As soon as he scratches me I immediately start my bio oil routine. It works wonders for me. The wounds and blood blisters clear up much more quickly compared to not using. There is little to no scarring. Por lo que entiendo, la función del producto es prevenir las estrías y mejorar la apariencia de las estrías y cicatrices ya existentes. Puedo decir que cumple con su propósito. Pros: Efectividad: Después de usarlo, he notado una mejora en la apariencia de mi piel y de las estrías. Hidratación: Me encanta la sensación humectante que le deja a la piel. La piel se siente más suave y flexible. Facilidad de Aplicación: El producto se aplica fácilmente y se absorbe bien, sin dejar una sensación grasosa. Hello all! I rarely ever post reviews, however this product is truly legendary, it deserves an award of its own! I purchased a bottle of this a year ago, actually, to work on my stretch marks in my inner thighs. I was sixteen years old at the time, and I was growing too fast for my skin to handle, so I ended up getting stretch marks from the top of my thigh to a bit over half-way down. They were getting longer and redder and I was freaking out trying to find a way to stop their "growth" and to heal the scars. I did a lot of research and found that this oil had the best reviews and testimonials; I didn't think it was that expensive (especially considering the posited outcome), so I bought a bottle. I began to apply it (quite liberally, I might add--I was desperate) day and night on my trouble areas. Although, I must confess that I often skipped some days or only applied it once a day. In addition, I stopped after no more than two months. I am lazy, and it honestly took me quite a while to rub in the oil--probably about 30 minutes, which I didn't have the patience for. So I just stopped. But after comparing my before-and-after photos (I was skeptical before I had started as to whether or not the bio-oil would really work), I saw evidence that confirmed what I had already learned over those two months--this oil is black magic! In some photos, the lines were invisible! You couldn't even tell there were blemishes beforehand, which is truly truly remarkable considering that I had started out using the oil when my marks were constantly a harsh, angry red (I couldn't even wear gym shorts, because my stretch marks were so visible past the hem--which is another reason that prompted me to actively find a solution to "removing" them by using this oil). On the worst appearances, they were very faintly red. I am not entirely sure, but I am guessing that they became more visible when blood flow increased around my thighs such as while running and such. It has been a year now, and I would like to update the status of my inner thigh stretch marks--they are usually "invisible" (unless, of course, you look closely; but from the outer appearance, they are not visible, so I can wear shorts again!), but sometimes you can see the faintest white sheen. I must also add that I did lose ten pounds along the way, so I think that helped. But really, these marks probably came from my increase in height over the past few years. I was never really fat to begin with, and at my worst I was a size 4/6 in women's clothing, which was last summer. And there hasn't been much progress in their disappearance since after I stopped using the oil, so I must contribute all of the success in my story to this bio-oil. I am truly, terrifically grateful, I cannot even express how much this oil has done for me! One final update: I started using this to target the stretch marks on my butt (like the typical "zebra-print"-like white lines I know a lot of other people have) just yesterday (my first use since last summer). I used it once. And today, I found that they have already disappeared quite a bit! Once again, I must stress that I used the oil quite liberally (by the way, this is my second bottle-- after last year's usage), so that might go a long way ( I don't necessarily smother it all over my skin, but I am certainly not stingy as I admittedly usually am with other products). In addition, as a final parting note, I want to give a brief summary on my results to conclude this review: 1) I only used it for less than two months, even though the instructions say to use it for a minimum of three. Furthermore, I was very incompetent in my application of the oil, as I skipped many days, even successively. So, my amazing results aren't even near the best results that I could have gotten-- a true testament to how absolutely remarkable this oil really is. 2) This worked very very well for me. I cannot say with absolute certainty that this will be the case for everyone else, however I can say with 1000% certainty that this is a must buy--an absolute must buy. It doesn't hurt to buy one bottle and try it out (in my opinion), and it really does work. I might even go as far as to say that this is a life changer. It has certainly given me back my full confidence with my body image, as I am one of those people who absolutely hate scars, and I was always self-conscious about other people seeing me with those glaring streaks across my skin when I wanted to wear shorts while going out. Mammas!! If you are pregnant this is the perfect oil for your belly. I have used this for both of my pregnancies. It’s such a great price for such a high quality oil. I also apply it to my face at night as I have extra dry skin! Also smells great too so that’s an added plus!
