I got this bed after reading the reviews and expecting it to be a decent mattress on a budget. I let the mattress air out on a folding bed frame for 24 hours with an open window near by. No smells that I could notice other than the plastic packaging it came in which wasn’t strong either. It’s surprisingly light when expanded and easy to maneuver. The box was heavy. It is a medium firm mattress. Has some give when pressed on but you don’t sink. It molds nicely to your sleeping position without sinking. Springs right back. I slept on it overnight and found that it was very comfortable. It provided support needed when I was on my side, and was good for when I rolled in every direction. I tend to wake up 5-7 times a night and only woke up once to use the restroom. It’s a quality mattress and I woke up feeling refreshed. Provided relief on back, joint, nerve pain, and found I did not have any problems. In terms of longevity I can’t say, I’ve had this less than a week. Overall though it’s nice. ... show more

I purchased this mattress for a spare bedroom that is seldomly ever used so I wasn't overly concerned about long-term comfort or durability. I opted to go with a bed in box because they are inexpensive, and I have heard fairly decent reviews about them from friends and family. Even though it was for the spare bedroom, I still wanted a decent bed in box. I did a lot of research and narrowed it down to three mattresses. Ultimately, I chose this one and boy am I glad I did. The mattress looks amazing and feels amazing! I had doubts that it would expand to 14", but it did. There is absolutely no chemical smell whatsoever. This mattress sits on an adjustable bed frame and seems to bend and flex easily when raised and lowered. My wife and I sleep on a 10K Tempur-Pedic bed and honestly this mattress looks and feels better than that one. We will need to replace our bed in the next year or so due to age and were seriously thinking about buying one of these mattresses instead for a lot less money. I would buy again. ... show more

Update*** after 4 weeks sleeping on it, I changed my pillow and have no sore spots and my neck feels so much better. It is a firmer matress. I think on the scale it should say, Medium-Firm. So far so good! I would recommend this. Good quality. Deep sleeping 😴 -------- Initial thoughts after first night: First, it's packaged very well. It's shipped, folded and rolled up. The box with mattress weighs about 110lbs, so make sure that you have help. After unboxing, we made sure and guided the cover so its even all the way around. You may need some adjusting to let it fill and align appropriately. Checking it every few hours. It took about 30 hrs to fully expand. The measurements were as it should be. After getting it on our bedframe, we have box springs and frame. Make sure that you use a nice waterproof matress pad of your choosing to keep thr mattress warranty in place as it says it has a 10 year limited warranty. We used a cooling, waterproof, bamboo cover. They run about $30-$40 for a good "Noiseless" pad. It's definitely firmer than we thought it would be. We had a Serta, Medium Plush, memory foam mattress that is about 8 years old. We have been noticing sagging with sholder and hip pain over the past year. We determined it had to be the mattress. Our new mattress is definitely firmer! However, my wife loves it. She stated that she didn't wake up with any pain. Me on the other hand, feels like it might be too firm. But, I too didn't wake up with any hip or shoulder discomfort! That's amazing. Also to note, I realize your body needs to adjust and I will give it time. Your pillows may need to be replaced to counter the mattress and your sleeping preferences. We will look into that in a week or so, should we need to. The mattress doesn't transfer hardly any movement to the other sleeper, which is a great thing! The detailed information on Amazon doesn't say that. But it does have that quality! Also, it does have anti slip rubber spots on the bottom of the mattress cover. No noticeable slipping with our box springs which is a plus! Cooling? I would say yes. Didn't wake up sweating or feel hot at all. Pleasantly comfortable temperature for both of us! So far so good! I am impressed with it so far! At 80% less cost that our Serta, it appears to be a good purchase. I will update this post in a week. ... show more

Don't know if you've priced a mattress lately but some are so costly you might need a second mortgage on the house. With mattress ads on TV stating their sale price is $500 off I cringe at what the original price might be. Fortunately I found the Charme House on Amazon with great reviews and took a chance. So glad I did as I'm so impressed that I look forward to bedtime. I recently had right shoulder surgery ( rotator cuff repair ) which requires sleeping on my left side. With my older mattress I would accidentally roll over on my right side which would cause pain and disrupt my sleep. Not so with the Charme House as its so supportive I sleep in one position and don't toss and turn. I was able to use my original box springs so a new foundation was not needed. ... show more

We were looking for a good balance between plush to firm and this was medium so decided to give it a try. It is pretty firm. At first touch, it does have give and essentially is better if you don’t want to sink into the mattress but I find when sleeping on my side, it pushes into my rib cage and I wake up sore. We had to buy a mattress topper for just a bit more cushion which is additional cost. Overall, the mattress is made well, did not have any smell when inflating, is true to size (in height), keeps temperature well so we don’t wake sweaty, and is a good value for money.
