Features

  • INDUSTRIAL GRADE CNC WOOD ROUTER BIT: Super-strength steel body with anti kickback design, 4 cutting blades.
  • COST-EFFECTIVE INSERT BIT: The surfacing router bit utilizes 4-sided solid carbide inserts. All 4 edges of carbide inserts can be used, use a screwdriver to make other blade edge outside. Replace the carbide inserts when needed, instead of replacing the whole bit. Cost effective solution compared to brazed router bits and solid carbide spiral bits.

  • Very high quality
Size: 3 Inch Cut Dia (2+2 Inserts)
This works great for flattening hardwood slabs. Leaves a great finish. This is not for small routers or desk top CNC. I use a heavy duty router and will bog down if I push it too hard. I accidentally ran into my steel rails and it didn't hurt the bit at all but chewed into the rail. This will last a long time but would definitely buy again ... show more

  • Works well for a router sled when flattening live edge hardwood slabs
Size: 2 Inch Cut Dia
I use this along with several others for making live edge tables etc including my own twist on poured epoxy live edge table. Overall this works very well for me. The key is to rotate the cutting edges as soon as you even think they may be dulling. If not you will get tear outs especially any figured hardwood. The replacement blades are cheap enough why struggle with a "mostly" sharp bit. The bit is well balanced and I get no vibration even closing in on 18000 RPM. Now my Freud flat cutting bit has a slight vibration which it had from the start. It was my first bit I used for slab flattening and while it cuts fine the vibration, though slight, causes issues when final flattening after pouring epoxy. However this bit is very smooth. Now sometimes when I am flattening out a pour I will resort to s smaller diameter bowl bit since it tends to not get those little nicks in epoxy that a flat bit can. So overall I like it...is the better...I am sure there is but not sure what or how much better it can get. Make sure if you are flattening a slab that your router is actually parallel to the surface and you should get clean cuts. i built my sled and i incorporated the ability to level the sled side to side to avoid getting any dishing or ridges in the cuts. I bias it just every so slightly to leave a faint rise between cuts because if it dips just a tad on the outcut it will tear and thats not easily sanded out unlike a very faint faint ridge ... show more

  • This thing is a beast!
Size: 3 Inch Cut Dia (2+2 Inserts)
Flattening slabs have never been smoother or quieter than now. A very nice cutter. I flatten live edge slabs everyday and have used many different cutters. This is the best so far. I highly recommend!

  • beast for flattening slabs
Size: 2 Inch Cut Dia
I used this with a router sled and a 3 hp router to flatten some walnut slabs. The larger radius really helped cut down on time and the bit left a much smoother surface than the 1" straight bit I had been using before.

  • So far so good
Size: 2 Inch Cut Dia
Have used it a few times to flatten slabs. Been impressed with how east it cuts through hard wood. Like having the ability to rotate the blades when one end gets dull. Recommended.

  • Great cutter just not for a router
Size: 3 Inch Cut Dia (2+2 Inserts)
This this is wicked large and equally sharp. Too much for a 2-1/4 hp router that's for sure. Perfect if you are running on a cnc

  • Unreal Bit! Surfaces look like they have been planed!!
Size: 3 Inch Cut Dia (2+2 Inserts)
This huge 3" bit cuts amazing spillboards! Not only that, it surfaces wood like no other! I have a Pro 408 ShopSabre CNC with a 5HP spindle... I can take full 3" runs with no problem! The edge surface is so perfect that there is no need for planning!
